While several French colleges accept a TOEFL score of 85, admission to ESMOD France may not be assured with this level. A minimum TOEFL score of 85 is usually required for admission, and this number is likely to meet or surpass the university's English language competence criteria. With a TOEFL score of 85, Indian applicants to Yukon University can be sure that their score satisfies the university's language standards for admission.

International students must provide proof of their English language proficiency to the university via standardized exams like the TOEFL, IELTS, PTE Academic, or Password Skills. Depending on the programme and entry point, different tests have different minimum score criteria. The Master of Public Health degree requires a minimum TOEFL score of 100, whereas the Doctor of Medicine programme requires an IELTS score of 7.0 on all bands. Therefore, St. George's University admission may require more than a TOEFL score of 85.

Tiffin University views a TOEFL English language proficiency score of 85 as satisfactory since it satisfies the minimal requirements for undergraduate students, which are 500 for the paper-based TOEFL (PBTOEFL) or 61 for the internet-based TOEFL (IBTOEFL). It does not, however, meet the IBTOEFL minimal requirements of 79–80 for graduate students. To meet the entrance requirements for graduate studies at Tiffin University, you would need to have a better TOEFL score.

No its not enough you should keep in your mind that you are the one who is responsible for your student career and if you want to study outside and even if in a home country prestigious institution you have to atleast target 90 plus marks in every exam !

On the TOEFL, a score of 85 is regarded as low, and a score of 90 to 110 is regarded as good. Generally speaking, TOEFL scores of at least 580 are required by Canadian universities; 237 for the computer-based exam and 90 for the online version.
According to Shiksha, Queen's University of Kingston requires a minimum TOEFL iBT score of 88+.

A score of 85 on TOEFL is good to go, and you can be admitted to some top universities abroad. However, note that the TOEFL score requirement differs for various courses and universities. Singapore universities ask for a TOEFL iBT score of 85-100 on 120. Master of Business Administration requires international students to have a minimum TOEFL iBT score of 86, whereas a Bachelor in Data Science requires them to have a score of 74 to enroll and apply to JCUS.

For admission to Han University of Applied Sciences, the minimum TOEFL score required is 80 for undergraduate programs and 60 for postgraduate programs. These scores are for the TOEFL iBT test. 

The university also accepts the following minimum scores for English proficiency tests:
TOEFL iBT: 80
International English Language Testing System or IELTS (Academic): 6.0, with no sub-scores below 5.0
Cambridge FCE: Grade C (169).
