Yes, Trinity College Dublin is the best university in Ireland for higher studies, per the latest Shiksha Rankings. The university has a very strong research program.

Students get access to the European job market, and good chances of getting a post-study work visa in Ireland. The TCD campus offers a supportive environment. Dublin itself has a very active Indian student population.

Yes the TCD acceptance rate stands around 34% meaning out of every 100 candidates who apply for admission, upto 34 will be accepted. This makes it relatively hard to get into Trinity College for local and foreign students alike

Yes students can still apply to Trinity College Dublin despite not having a completion certificate for Standard XII. They can apply by using one of the following international exams recognised by Trinity:

  • GCE A Levels
  • International Baccalaureate
  • US High School Diploma with SAT or ACT

They can also join Trinity through the college's International Foundation Programme. The requirements for the same are available on the official website.

Yes without a doubt TCD is a good study abroad destination for Indian students. It was ranked the 16th most international university worldwide in 2023 due to its high proportion of foreign crowd amongst students and staff as well as for research collaboration and international reputation.
