This totally depends on the individual and the university that they applied and got into. For example, if an applicant received an acceptance offer from the Ivy league universities than offcourse the applicant should choose to go for those universities than going to University of Groningen. However if the applicant gets an acceptance from a tier three or two university then we suggest them to look for better options and can surely choose University of Groningen. However, the University of Groningen is a good option as well as it is at 139 position in 2024 by QS.

For teaching purposes, University of Groningen use both English and Dutch as both languages hold official status in Groningen. Depending on specific requirements of each faculty, some subjects may also be taught in English. But international students are recommended to learn Dutch before going to University of Groningen as its helpful and essential to learn the country language. Overall, the university sees that international students are comfortable and is inclusive.

But university allows International students to get admission based on merit, no entrance exam required. Lastly, the Groningen University is an inclusive and welcoming institution and provides a safe environment for international students regardless of their nationality, colour and background.

The acceptance rate at the University of Groningen is 50%. Groningen Uni is moderately selective at the time of admission. This means that it is a relatively moderately competitive university. While the acceptance rate is higher, students should have good academic record.
