Calcutta University has more no. of affiliated colleges for the BSc course than VBU. Calcutta University has around 80 colleges and VBU has one, i.e. J.D. Birla Institute. The seat intake at Calcutta University is also greater than that at VBU.

For CUET (Common University Entrance Test) and UGC NET eligibility to pursue a BA in Dance at Visva Bharati University:

  • CUET: The eligibility for BA programs usually requires completion of 10+2 education. Since you have a Diploma in Electrical Engineering, you may need to check if it is considered equivalent to a higher secondary qualification for CUET eligibility.

  • UGC NET: UGC NET is for post-graduate admissions and research eligibility. For BA programs, UGC NET is not required, as it is intended for Master's degree holders.

Check Visva Bharati University's specific requirements for the BA in Dance program.

The admission to BA courses at Visva Bharati University is primarily based on CUET scores. Also, candidates who are seeking to secure a seat in the BA course must complete their Class 10+2 with decent scores as per the eligibility criteria set by University. However, a CUET-UG score is not required for some BA specialisations available at VBU. For taking admission without CUET UG scores, candidates should have secured good scores in Class 12, so they can be selected in the merit list. Therefore, candidates either have to get selected in the merit list or score well in the CUET UG entrance examination for admission to BA courses at Visv
