Bharat Ratna Dr B. R. Ambedkar University Entrance Test 2011, for MA in Gender Studies will be held on 11th July, 2011. The entrance exam will be held from 10:30 a.m to 12:30 p.m. at Ambedkar University, Integrated Institute of Technology Campus, Dwarka, New Delhi. The students will be notified on the University website and notice board about any further details.
MA in Gender Studies is a 2 year programme that comprises 4 semesters and a summer internship. Total credits of the programme are 64 and the medium of instruction is English. The MA in Gender Studies, is offered by the School of Human Studies at AUD. The prime aim of the programme offered in the School of Human Studies is to help students in developing a sound knowledge of theory, research and intervention with human experience.
Eligibility
Students willing to sit for Bharat Ratna Dr B. R. Ambedkar University Entrance Test 2011, for MA in Gender Studies, are required to have a Bachelor's Degree in any discipline with 45% marks (or an equivalent grade), from a recognized university. Relaxation of 5% for candidates belonging to SC, ST and Physically Disabled (PD) Categories will be given.
Entrance Exam Procedure
MA Gender Studies Programme will comprise a written test only. The duration of this test shall be 2 hours. Those qualifying for the test are requested to read 'Library Girl', a short story by Vishwapriya L Iyengar's (1990), and 'Role Play', a chapter from V Geetha's Gender (2002).
Reservation of Seats
The seats are reserved as per the instructions laid under Government of NCT of Delhi rules.
Points to Be Remembered:
- Photo identity card issued by the College/Driving License/Ration card/Mark sheet of the qualifying Examination/Voter Identity Card
- No study material and/or cell phone, calculator inside the examination hall are allowed.
- There are no arrangements for keeping valuables, including cell phone, calculator in the venue of the candidates
- Photocopy of the application form
