DPUE paper leaked, exam postponed
The Department of Pre-University Education Maths paper has been leaked. The exam has been postponed till April 3, 2012. While the university earlier denied calling it rumours. Later it was found true. It is reported that even the serial numbers of the questions tallied with the originals.
The police meanwhile arrested two persons Pradeep and Venkatesh from Chintamani in Chikballapur district where they were selling the question papers according to the Chikballapur Superintendent of Police T D Pawar. The Primary and Secondary Education Minister Vishweshwara Hegde Kageri has said the Criminal Investigation Department will take up the investigation and regarded this as an unfortunate incident.
The rumours started making rounds from Monday evening after some news channels claimed that handwritten question papers were being sold at Chintamani. Initially the university denied such reports, which after police enquiry were found to be true. The leaked paper was matched with the original by the DPUE.
DPUE officials stated that such threats were received by the university after every evening which turns out to be rumours. So, initially it was not taken seriously but later when a 100% copy was found it was a shock.
