Edu Dept introduces tamper-proof mark sheets
It started with the revamping of schools in Thiruvanathpuram, then came the launch of the ‘future schools' project in the state and now it's the issuance of tamper-proof mark sheets in Tamil Nadu! Education departments down South seem to be on a revamp spree!
Starting this Wednesday, the Tamil Nadu education department will embark on a first-of-its-kind initiative of delivering tamper proof marks sheets to Class XII students. In an endeavour to prevent tampering, these mark sheets will have add-on security features. The introduction of a 2D barcode and the photograph of the student would leave no opportunity to create fake mark-sheets.
This step would surely relieve students of the need to go all the way to the employment exchange offices to register themselves after receiving their mark-sheets. This is because now the schools would list their students and also update their details in the employment offices online. Every school has been provided with User IDs and passwords for registration of their students' details, which can be done between May 30 and June 15.
This initiative will also help the employment offices to manage the crowd better, and save students from losing their certificates in the earlier process of registration. District education officers will have the class XII mark sheets distributed among respective schools in the state.
