Gujarat Technological University MCA 1st Semester Discreet Mathematics

GTU (Gujarat Technological University) MCA 1st Semester Discreet Mathematics for Computer Science papers is the study of mathematics in its structural rather than its continuous form. Integers, graphs and logical analysis have separate values in this subject. Thus numerical based upon statistics calculus linear and integral algebra is excluded. Under this subject, students are taught about the finite relations of continuous mathematics. Also, the subject has immense scope in designing digital computers and devices.

The Gujarat Technological University was set up under the state legislative act no. Guj. 20 of 2007 Education Department and has over 50 colleges under its affiliation. These colleges offer quality education and academic degrees in science, law, technology, arts and commerce. All these colleges work as a unit and  offer various courses that are interesting as well have a variety of scope out in to the real and practical world.

Question Pattern

The question paper put to test the abilities of students to secure quality knowledge in discreet mathematics. The question paper is a choice based question, that covers every topic of the syllabus. There are a total of 5 questions which are sub-divided into various other questions. The total mark is 70 and the time allotted is two and a half hours.

Time Allotment and Total Marks

The total mark is 70 which is divided unequally depending upon the importance of the question asked. The total time allotted is 2:30 hours.

Recommended Books and Syllabus

There are various books recommended by experts to cover the syllabus which becomes strenuous at the dead end. The books are Experiments in Discrete Mathematics by James L. Hein and Discrete Mathematics for Computer Science by Jean Gallier.
