Lovely Professional University has installed 2400 cams: Now parents can keep eagle eye!!

Lovely Professional University has installed 2400 cams so that now parents can keep eagle eye on their children. It is Punjab's first Private University which came up with this scheme. Now parents can check whether their children are studying in the classroom or working in the laboratory. These 2400 CCTV cameras have been installed in the classrooms and some other places in the university. Authorities are working on the various parameters to provide access to live footage of the CCTV to parents. 

More than 25,000 students are studying in the university, which includes 600 foreign students. This has aroused a sharp reaction from some students as they said that, "Previously I was exempted from all this, but now my parents would be watching me even in my classroom." The university has already provided access to see the attendance of the students online. They are being provided with the separate user name and password to keep the records of their children.

As per the official of the University, in this system, the attendance of the student is punched by the teacher after a class starts. Thus, parents would be able to keep a check about their children. Lovely Professional University has installed 2400 cams and the expense of this project is 4 crores and it has been implemented under the guidance, DVTEL, a US based company.
