Scholarships and Awards for Indian Students in Australia

There are lots of scholarships available for International students opting to study in Australia. Some of them are awarded by the Government which amount to nearly AUD 200 million. Others are institutional scholarships offered by some of the universities. Here, we will only discuss scholarships and awards that are available for Indian students in Australia:
Endeavour Vocational Education and Training (VET) Awards:
- For any subject undertaken at the level of Diploma, Advanced Diploma or Associate Degree, the amount awarded is AUD 1,19,500 for a total of 2.5 years duration of course, which includes 6-months English studies.
- For any subject undertaken at the MS and Ph.D level, the amount awarded is AUD 2,28,500. This includes monthly stipend, travel and establishment allowances, health allowances and tuition fee.
- Endeavour Executive Awards to the tune of AUD 18,500 are awarded for study in the field of education, business, industry or government for short-term programs that are of 1-4 months of duration
One can apply for these awards from April 1 onwards and the deadline is June 30. In November, the successful applicants are informed about their awards.
Institutional Scholarships are offered by the following Educational Institutions in Australia:

Australian Catholic University | 25 scholarships for UG and PG students |
Bond University | Dean’s Scholarship for UG and PG students for a waiver of 10-40% of the tuition fee. Sometimes even the living expenses are taken care of. |
Blue Mountains Hotel School | 2 Scholarships of AUD 5,000 each for the first year of the tuition fee |
Carnegie Mellon University | 12 scholarships for a total value of AUD 38,000 |

La Trobe University | Academic Excellence Scholarship: 50% - 100% waiver on tuition fee. The condition for the scholarship is that the student must have scored 80% and have an unconditional offer from the university. |
Swinburne University of Technology | 10% waiver on tuition fee for Lilydale Campus |
University of Western Sydney | Scholarship of up to AUD 5,000 for 1st year tuition fee on the basis of merit and performance in interview. |
University of Canberra | Scholarship (UG and PG) for AUD 2,000 on the condition that student must accept offer before March 31. |
