Some helpful tips for students starting their first year are:Students should get some knowledge about the campus and the atmosphere of the campus.They should be able to connect with others nicely.Mainly they should interact with seniors and get ideas from them about academics.Students should think about the planning of time table of day.You have to score good CGPA in first year itself because the syllabus will be of 12th class, so please score a good CGPA.From second year onwards the subjects will be some what difficult so that CGPA may decrease.Should keep track of assignments and project works also.Should participate in events actively and get integrated with everybody and make them good friends.Try to Interact with faculty members also so that they will help you with projects.There will be more time in first year so you can utilise that time for gaining skills. The fee structure will be based on labs in amrita university Coimbatore.Slab is given according to the rank in AEEE.For each slab there is different feels.Regular fee is 250000 (2.5 lakh) for academic and hostel fee is seperate.For slab 1 it is 125000, for slab 2 it is 175000 and for slab 3 it is 200000.Regular fee is last slab that is 250000 for each year.These fee details are for each yearfor a chemical student.Hostel fee is same for everybody it will be around 1Lacsper year.

According to my knowledge, if a student fails in the internal exams conducted, he/she will get three chances of writing the supplymentary examinations. But that out of 100 marks. The first supplymentary exam only will be considered as the main supply exam, and the other two chances will be the repeat of the same exam as of giving them chances to qualify. 

CGPA is calculated by the division of total Grade Point Weight (GPW) scored by the student of all the courses of the study be the maximum credit for the semester.The GPW are in turn calculated as the product of the grade points earned in the respective courses and the credit assigned to that course.There are many courses with different credit. Like 2-credit, 3-credit and even 4-credit courses. It depends on the student that if he/she scores a good mark in higher credit subjects, then it reflects in a higher CGPA grade for the same student.

As of now and as far I know, If a student miss the mid sem examinations, they'll get a change of misses mid-sem examination. It will be just before 2 or 3 weeks before the last terminals exam that is, end-sem exams. These procedures may change in the future and till now, this will be the procedure if someone misses the exams. And there'll be no other option if anyone miss the end-sem exam as it is so crucial.

I don't know the exact number of overall students studying in Amritapuri Campus, but there as many as of 3000-4000 students in my knowledge. I found from a source that as per the cutoff in 2021, there is around 3500 students studying in Amritapuri Campus. However, it is always best to refer the average students population with the University directly or can refer their official website.
