Candidates who wish to apply for Bachelor's of Technology must have passed Class 12 with a minimum of 50% aggregate. Annamalai University B.Tech admission is entrance-based through TNEA.BTech Course in Annamalai University is offered under 11 Specializations. The course structure is based on the credit system.The Annamalai University Admission Form 2023 for all UG-level programs will be made through merit in the qualifying exam. Admission for PG levels programs will be through the entrance exam, except for the M.Com, MA, and MSc courses.

The total seat intake for PharmD in Annamalai University is 40. There are 30 seats in the PharmD general course and 10 in the Doctor of Pharmacy Post Baccalaureate. The seat reservation policy for ST/SCA/SC/MBC/BC/OC category candidates is as per the rules and regulations of the Government of Tamil Nadu. Apart from other reservations, 5% of the total number of seats available is reserved for Orthopedically, Physically disabled candidates.

Firstly, aspirants must ensure that they fulfil the eligibility criteria for PhD at Annamalai University. Further, the selection is based on a PG entrance test conducted by the university followed by an interview round. The weightage of the entrance exam is 70 and for the interview is 30. The candidates who score 50% marks (45% for SC/ST/OBC/PwD) in the exam and interview round become eligible for admission. Candidates with an MPhil degree from an approved university or UGC-JRF/ NET/ SLET/ SET/ GATE/ CSIR/ ICHR/ ICPR/ ICSSR-qualified candidates and teacher fellowship are exempted from the entrance test. Candidates seeking admission to Annamalai University can avail of Government Scholarships. To avail of these scholarships, candidates need to fulfil the minimum eligibility criteria set by the University. Given below are the different types of scholarships offered at Annamalai University:  First Graduate Tuition Fee Concession: Under this scheme, the government of Tamil Nadu will grant tuition fee concessions to the candidates who will become the first graduate in a family. From the year 2013-14 onwards the tuition fee concession for first graduates has also been extended to the students of Annamalai University. Post Matric Scholarship: Under this category, the Government has ordered to grant of Post Matric Scholarship to SC/SCA/ST candidates, whose parental annual income is less than INR 2.50 Lacs per annum and for SC/SCA converted Christians whose parental annual income is less than INR 2 Lacs per annum.Higher Education Special Scholarship: This scholarship is only eligible for the hostel students belonging to SC / SCA / ST and Converted Christian categories, whose annual income from all sources should not exceed more than INR 2.50 Lacs per annum.BC/MBC/DNC Categories Scholarship: This is valid for students belonging to BC/MBC/DNC categories whose parent’s income from all sources is not more than INR 2 Lacs per annum.NOTE: The mentioned scholarship details are as per past years' data. The university publishes a merit list after the conclusion of the application process for shortlisting candidates. Shortlisted students further need to take part in the counselling round. Annamalai University PharmD merit list further includes details such as rank, category, name of the candidate, application number, and cutoff marks. To be eligible for admission to PhD at Annamalai University, a candidate shall have a valid PG or an equivalent degree. The degree must be in the relevant stream of study or specialisation.
