Gondwana University is a (University Grants Commission) UGC as well as (Association Of Indian Universities) AIU recognised state-level university established in 2011 in the state of Maharashtra. National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF): 66th rank among universities in India, India Today University Ranking: 78th rank among universities in India, The Week University Ranking: 82nd rank among universities in India. The Indian Institute of Science is ranked number 1 among India's top ten universities. Maharashtra is known for its top engineering colleges, including IIT Bombay and the College of Engineering, Pune. These colleges offer a range of undergraduate and postgraduate courses in engineering, with popular disciplines including computer science, mechanical, civil, electrical, and electronics engineering.

There are 60 seats available for each branch except in B.Tech in Electronics and Telecommunications Engineering. Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering is of only having 30 seats available.
