The institute is ranked 15th by India Today 2020 for Law. It has been approved by UGC and BCI. The institute offers BA-LLB, BBA-LLB at the UG level, LLM at the PG level, and PhD at the doctoral level.Where Symbiosis Law School, Hyderabad is the third school of law to be established by SIU (Symbiosis International University) and has so far had two classes graduate, class of 2019 and class of 2020. The most commonly asked questions about SLS Hyderabad is how it fares in comparison to its sister schools, namely Pune and Noida. The truth is that although there are a few upsides to studying in a school that has been established for a significantly longer period of time, it certainly does not give you an inherent advantage. In the few years that SLS Hyderabad has been admitting students from across the country, it has seen a tremendous amount of growth. We have truly established ourselves to be a school that should should not be weighed on the basis of how long we’ve been around. The curriculum that is followed is not only well thought of and laid out, but is also challenging in the best way possible. The faculty consists of experienced and dedicated members of pedagogy from the legal fraternity, who know how a student pursuing law is to be nurtured. The fact that the campus is a residential one makes them more accessible and available, largely due to their generosity and genuine care and concern. We also have guest lectures right from the first semester by resource persons that are some of the most prominent figures in the fraternity. There are a number of student run associations, cells and centres that have organised multiple national events and other programs that have been nothing short of successful. Most of them work through the academic year and some even beyond. We have brought home a number of prestigious laurels in the six short years that we have been around, owing to the dedication and efforts of our faculty and student members. As a member of the Moot Court Association, I can say with assurance, backed by personal experience that the growth we have seen in the two years that I have been here, is genuinely admirable and encouraging. The management has always looked out for us, certainly like any other institution, there have been instances of dissatisfaction, however they have been resolved and have been dealt with in a nuanced manner. Although we do not have an extensive network of alumni, the few that have passed through our gates have certainly made a name for themselves by being admitted to prestigious institutions to pursue their masters or by being recruited by some of the biggest names in the country. Our Training and Placement cell has also been successful in helping many of us find internships and has also successfully placed a number of our seniors. Our hostel rooms are definitely spacious, comfortable and well furnished. There are two blocks for the boys and girls each, for those of us that were lucky enough to be accommodated in the new blocks, have our own balconies. We have a library, health and wellness centre, which includes a gym (of course), that are all well equipped. We also have a bakery, two general stores, a stationery story and of course the college canteen. The mess food, on most days is good and nutritious, the exception is the few times the food is not appetising or you’re reminiscent of food from home. Most people tend to find the remoteness or the distance of the campus from the city to be a let down, personally I too find it tiring and disappointing to have to travel as much we do. However, I will tell you that living on a campus where you get to experience life as a college student to the fullest, does in fact make up for it. I personally will not trade my experience on campus for a chance of being closer to the city, the plethora of sunset pictures that each of us capture and all the late nights working or having endless fun is proof of this.
