B.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering - Batch of 2026

Absolutely dissatisfied because of faculty, good placements in 2015.
Placements: Only 30 percent of students get placed in companies like Adhunik, Codestam Technology. Around 50-60 percent of students get internship from our course, and the highest package offered by companies is 5-6 LPA, and minimum package around 2-4 LPA offered by companies like TCS, Adhunik, Codestam Technology, and many more.
Infrastructure: The facilities and infrastructure available for our course/department are not bad. We have a good classroom, a good library, labs, and also Wi-Fi. The quality of the facilities in the hostel is okay. There are separate hostels for boys and girls. The food available in the mess and canteen is not so good, but the medical and sports or games facilities are available.
Faculty: In our college, the teachers are helpful, and their qualifications are not too bad. They have some knowledge about our stream and give us notes. CSE course curriculum is a good choice if anyone wants to take admission. The semester exams are not difficult if you have prepared for the exam, and the pass marks are 21 out of 70.

Bachelor of Computer Applications (BCA) - Batch of 2028
Offered by Jamshedpur Womens College ,Kolhan University

The overall university is okay, but the placement is not good enough.
Placements: The placement of this college is very bad for BCA students. None of our seniors got placed. The teachers would guide you for internships, but there aren't many internships provided by the college. You should not depend on this college for placements, but you can definitely find off-campus placements.
Infrastructure: There is a library. Students need to apply for a library card before borrowing books from the library. For BCA department, there are two labs, and some of the systems are not working right now. Hostel rooms in the new campus are quite good. Each room consists of two beds with a table and almirah each. The food is okay.
Faculty: The teachers are helpful and qualified too. The course I'm pursuing is very useful for the IT industry, but it needs an artificial intelligence touch, which is provided by the college itself under the 1-year Certificate course. Semester exams are held at the right time too.

Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.) - Batch of 2027
Offered by Karim City College
4.2

It is a decent college with supportive teachers.
Placements: Placement rates depend on your course, but comparatively, courses like B.Com and BCA have a better chance. The average package is 5 LPA, and the highest is 8 LPA. Companies like TCS, Wipro, and Tata Motors are top recruiters here. Internships depend on the student. Top roles include Graduate Trainee, BPO/Customer Support, and others.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is solid. Most classrooms have their own smart boards, and labs are good and regularly upgraded, with all necessary equipment kept clean. The Wi-Fi is average, depending on the range, but it is decent in the labs. Sports facilities are provided for both indoor and outdoor games.
Faculty: Teachers at Karim City College are very helpful, well-qualified, and knowledgeable. Their teaching quality is precise. They are very student-friendly. The course curriculum is relevant and makes students industry-ready. The exams are of moderate difficulty. The passing percentage is around 95.7%.
Other: I chose this course because I have always wanted to study in this field. The best thing about the course is that it is exactly what I want to study. The knowledge I gain from it is also interesting to me. I don’t think any improvements are needed because it is already perfect. Many events in the college campus and college auditorium.

B.A. (Hons.) in English - Batch of 2028

A summary of my college journey.
Placements: Almost 90% of students get placed in our course with a salary of Rs. 35,000–Rs. 50,000 per month. Companies hire students mostly as lecturers in top colleges. Many get a chance to work as translators abroad.
Infrastructure: Our college has a well-maintained library with AC and non-AC compartments. Classes and the library have Wi-Fi. We have a well-maintained canteen with lots of delicious snacks at an affordable price. There is an indoor stadium where co-curricular activities are often held. The whole college campus is clean and has calm vibes.
Faculty: Every professor is highly educated. They complete the whole syllabus within the time limit with proper notes so that students do not face any problems in their studies. They are helpful, friendly, and really kind towards students. They have a great way of teaching that helps students understand easily. The semester exams, which occur every six months, have questions only from the syllabus. The passing percentage is 40.
Other: I am passionate about the English language and its history, which is the reason behind choosing the B.A. English Honors course. This course mainly includes the background and eras of English literature. This course definitely increases knowledge as well as fluency in writing and speaking English. This college is a perfect place for students to shine.

B.Sc. (Hons.) in Zoology - Batch of 2028
Offered by Jamshedpur Co-Operative College
4.4
4Placements4Infrastructure5Faculty4Crowd & Campus Life5Value for Money
This college is value for money.
Placements: I am from B.Sc. Zoology (2020-2023). Around 10-15% of students got placed in roles like lab assistant, field worker, or medical sales. The highest package is around 3 LPA, and average is 2 LPA. Most students opt for higher studies or prepare for government jobs. Placement support is limited.
Infrastructure: Our Zoology department has basic lab facilities. Classrooms are decent and spacious. College has a central library with helpful books for science students. There's no hostel, but the canteen provides simple food. A small medical room and a sports ground are available for students.
Faculty: Teachers in the Zoology department are well-qualified and supportive. They explain topics clearly and help during the practical. The syllabus is updated and useful for competitive exams. Semester exams are moderate in difficulty, and the pass percentage is generally high.
Other: I chose B.Sc. Zoology because I love studying animals and nature. The course is interesting, and the faculty members are supportive. Regular college events, NCC, and a peaceful campus make student life enjoyable. I wish there were more practical sessions and career guidance. The crowd is decent. College is well-connected. Scholarships are available for eligible students.
