Both Monad University and Raj Kumar Goel Engineering College offer two-year MBA programs. The School of Management and Business Studies at Monad University offers a marketing-focused programme for a fee of Rs.1.22 lakh. While some claim that there are plenty of placement opportunities, Raj Kumar Goel Engineering College offers six specializations, claims a 90% placement rate, and reportedly offers packages worth more than 5 Lacs from companies such as Microtech, Hinduja, Accenture, and Sopra Steria. Given these considerations, Raj Kumar Goel Engineering College appears to offer a more diverse MBA programme with potentially stronger placement prospects and higher salary packages, making it a better choice for an MBA than Monad University.

The university selects students based on merit in the qualifying examination for most of its programs, including undergraduate, postgraduate, and diploma courses. However, for Ph.D. and M.Phil programs, the selection process may include both merit-based and entrance-based criteria. Therefore, for most undergraduate and postgraduate courses, admissions are based on the marks obtained in the qualifying examination.

Candidates must have completed the 10+2 examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects, as well as one of Chemistry, Biotechnology, Biology, or Technical Vocational subjects, to be eligible for B.Tech (ME) at Monad University. They should have received at least 45% (40% for reserved category) in these subjects combined. Candidates for B.Tech (ME) Lateral Entry must have passed a Diploma examination with at least 45% (40% for reserved category) in the relevant branch of Engineering/Technology, or a B.Sc. Degree with at least 45% (40% for reserved category) and have studied Mathematics at the XII level. These eligibility criteria appear reasonable and in line with standard requirements for B.Tech programs, in my opinion.
