{Source: B.Sc. students & alumni}PJTSAU, known for its strong reputation in agriculture, offers a four-year undergraduate programme in B.Sc. Here's what current students and alumni have to say:Pros:* Wide range of employment opportunities: Students have reported receiving job offers from leading fertilizer and pesticide companies, including Syngenta, with salaries ranging from INR35,000 to INR40,000 per month.* Practical learning experience: The programme focuses on hands-on training, providing students with practical knowledge in agricultural fields.* Well-equipped infrastructure: The college has modern laboratories, Wi-Fi-enabled classrooms, and a vast library with a collection of books and journals.* Good faculty-student ratio: With a relatively small batch size, students enjoy personalized attention from experienced and qualified faculty members.* Campus culture: Students praise the vibrant campus atmosphere, with regular cultural events, sports competitions, and a sense of camaraderie among peers.Cons:* Placement process: Some students feel that the college could improve its placement services, citing instances where companies don't participate in campus interviews due to limited availability of talented candidates.* Transportation issues: Although not a major concern, a few students mention that transportation to the college from nearby cities could be improved.Overall assessment: Based on reviews from existing students and alumni, PJTSAU appears to offer a solid foundation in agriculture, with a focus on practical learning, decent employment prospects, and a lively campus culture. While some minor improvements could be made to the placement process and transportation options, the college overall seems like a good choice for students seeking a career in agriculture.Sources:* Review extracts from current students and alumni* Data collected from online forums and discussion groups

{Source: B.Sc. students & alumni}Effectiveness of Placement Cell for B.Sc. Programs at PJTSAUBased on the reviews and feedback from students and alumni, here's what emerges:* Limited placement efforts: Many students feel that the placement cell is not up to the mark. Companies tend to avoid visiting the campus due to students' obsession with pursuing postgraduate degrees (PG).* Low attendance and engagement: Students often don't make use of the available facilities, such as the library and sports complexes, leading to low utilization rates.* Few internship opportunities: The college provides limited internship opportunities, although some paid internships are suggested through esteemed universities.* Average packages: The highest package offered is INR15 Lacs per annum, while the average package ranges from INR5-6 Lacs per annum.* Top roles offered: Graduates can expect to land roles like principal scientists, bank officers, AO/AEO, and others. In summary, while the college offers some decent facilities, its placement cell seems to struggle in terms of attracting employers and providing sufficient internship opportunities. However, graduates still manage to secure decent jobs and higher studies opportunities.
