Every year, the Sri Devraj Urs Academy of Higher Education and Research, Kolar awards thirty scholarships to MBBS students. Each scholarship is worth Rs. 25,000/-per year. Thirteen scholarships, named in honor of the late Sri. Ramakrishna Hegde, the former chief minister of Karnataka, are available to students in the general merit category (GM).
