Yes, seats are reserved by Vijayanagara Sri Krishnadevaraya University for OBC, EWS, Sports quota, SC/ST etc. as per government of Karnataka guidelines. First all candidates irrespective of their individual categories are considered for allotment of seats under general merit as per the options given by them. Hereafter, when the general merit seats are exhausted, candidates belonging to the respective categories will be allotted seats as per their merit and options chosen by them.
To apply for undergraduate courses, a candidate must complete their 10+2 from a recognised board with at least 50% of the possible marks (45% for the ST/SC candidates). There is no entrance for these courses, and the applicants are selected based on their merit at 10+2. The candidate's final selection would be based on the marks they receive in the qualifying examination.
Candidates are chosen for postgraduate programs, except the MBA program, based on their qualifying exam scores as determined by counseling.
