CA Final Exam result was declared by The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) on July 18, 2016.

In one of the toughest exams conducted in India, Kantheti Naga Venkata Viswa Upendra secured Rank-2 by securing 610 marks (76.25%).

Upendra shares that regular studies and revision helped him top CA Final exam held in May 2016. When asked about his likes and dislikes, he shares, “I like watching movies, reading books and listening to music. I dislike any kind of negligence and laziness”.

Q. Congratulations on behalf of Shiksha. So how are you feeling and how is your family reacting to your success?

Ans. Thank you! Me and my family are happy with the result.

Q. Tell us about your score card?

Ans. My CA Final Exam scorecard is as follows:

Financial Reporting: 87

Strategic Financial Management: 76

Advanced Auditing & Professional Ethics: 79

Corporate & Allied Laws: 69

Advanced Management Accounting: 82

Information System Control and Audit: 64

Direct Tax Laws: 79

Indirect Tax Laws: 74.

Q. What as per you was your success mantra? How did you prepare for the exam?

Ans. My success mantra was that I studied regularly and also revised regularly. I prepared for CA exam on a regular basis and also spent considerable time in self-examination and evaluation.

Q. How long have you been preparing for the CA exams?

Ans. I started preparation for this year’s exam from January 2016.

Q. What have you done for graduation?

Ans. I did BCom from IGNOU.

Q. In which year did you enroll for CA?

Ans. I enrolled for CA in March 2012.

Q. In how many years did you clear CA?

Ans. I cleared CA in 4 year 3 months, that is, March 2012 to July 2016.

Q. Who do you attribute your success to?

Ans. To my parents especially to my father who supported me very well.

Q. Do you have any Do’s and Don’ts for students preparing for CA?

Ans. My advice to CA aspirants is that focus on your target even if there are hurdles in the path to accomplish it. Do not get depressed if you have to face any hurdles.

Q. What advice do you want to give aspiring CA candidates?

Ans. My sincere advice to CA students is give your best in whatever task you are doing.

Q. What are your plans for the future?        

Ans. I would like to join a company with wide exposure which can help me to improve my skills.
