ITIL is known as IT Infrastructure Library. As the name suggests, it is a library of volumes explaining the best ways to deliver IT services. In today's time, the business world is really dependent on IT capabilities. If a company wants to stay competitive and achieve its corporate objectives, it just can't compromise its digital & IT capabilities. ITIL is a set of IT Service Management (ITSM) practices that are used by most of the topmost organizations in the world. Some of the most prominent companies like NASA, IBM, and HSBC are using ITIL. We are going to cover ITIL certifications, ITIL courses, ITIL exams, ITIL skills, and other related information here.

It was first formed in the 1980s by the British government's Central Computer and Telecommunications Agency (CCTA), and it previously comprised over 30 books containing the best practices in IT. This information was collected from several sources globally. Next, the ITIL had gone through many revisions. It now comprises five books that contain information on various processes and IT service life cycle stages.

By using ITIL, the businesses can strengthen customer relations, manage risk in a better way, build a stable IT environment and establish cost-effective practices. ITIL is split over several modules and levels covering service strategies. It enables companies to increase agility and adapt IT service infrastructures. The main strength of this library is in its versatility. ITIL practices are flexible and scalable. It is not built around any specific business model, and it can be adapted to work with other practices such as Six Sigma, COBIT, TOGAF, and Agile.
