A student of SD Kanya Mahavidyala Narwana (Jind), Gurmeet Sinhmar secured Rank 1 in the Arts stream in BSEH board exams for Class 12. Her subject-wise scores in HBSE Class 12 exam results are 96/100 in English, 95/100 in Hindi, 100/100 in Home Science and 99/100 in both Mathematics as well as Public Administration.
Talking about how everyone in her family reacted when they got to know that she is the topper of Haryana Board’s Class 12 exams, Gurmeet said, ““Everyone in my family was surprised to hear this news. I saw great pleasure in their eyes”.

Q. Congratulations! Did you expect to be the topper of the exam?
Thank you very much! Yes, I expected it because I had done my best to score well in the exams. This success is the result of my hard work.
Q. How did you prepare for the exams?
I was limited to my work. I left my comfort zone. I did not let a single day go waste. I left all activities that world lead to wastage of time.
Q. What was your schedule when you were preparing for the exam?
Honestly, I did not prepare any schedule for the exams. I just cleared my concepts for all the subjects. I studied for hours during exam time.
Q. Any time management tips for students while preparing for the exam?
Do the work when it comes to you. Never leave it for the next day. If you pile up studies then it will affect the next day working also.
Q. According to you, where do students generally go wrong in their preparation for board examinations?
Mostly students become nervous on the exam day. Everyone should keep calm and control the mind. Revision and regular practice is must to score more.
Q. Do you pursue any hobbies?
Yes, I have many hobbies. Some of my hobbies are singing, listening to music as well as reading books and novels.
Q. How did you unwind while preparing for the exam?
As I said earlier, we should not be nervous when we are preparing for the exam. Honestly, I was not in any stress.
Q. How important is revision in the exam? When did you start revising your syllabus?
Revision is most important in the exams. I used to revise my syllabus regularly.
Q. Any time management tips while giving the exam?
We should firstly attempt the questions which we can do best. It leaves a good impression on the examiner.
Q. What things should students keep in mind while giving the board exam?
Firstly, never get nervous and secondly keep time management in mind.
Q. Any tips for future aspirants?
Do hard work and smart work. Be regular in your studies. Never waste time.
Q. Are you planning to give any entrance exams?
No, in the near future I am not planning to sit for any entrance exam.
Q. What are your future plans like?
I would like to pursue BA and I would like to take admission in Delhi University.
