Education Ministry postpones the campaign on NEP 2020 due to the demise of former President of India Pranab Mukherjee.

The Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank has announced that the Ministry has decided to postpone the campaign on the new National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 due to the demise of former President of India Pranab Mukherjee. The education minister was supposed to answer the queries on NEP 2020 on September 1 for which he had asked everyone to post their queries and suggestions on his twitter handle.

"The new dates will be announced soon for the campaign but today the queries will not be answered," the Ministry of Education tweeted.

Questions related to the new education policy were to be sent to the minister using #NEPTransformingIndia. Earlier the minister had tweeted, “I and the ministry will be dedicating one full day to address your concerns. Looking forward to your queries.”

During the IIT Delhi Diamond Jubilee Celebrations, the Education Minister had said that "The NEP-2020 will make the country multi-lingual, hopeful. It will stand on the basis of Indianness and reach international limits, it will be effective and will help in ensuring the continuance of dialogue. It will also be inclusive.”
