Hi, I am Sneha Pal doing my post-graduation in management from JIMS Rohini in Sector-5 and it has been one of my best decisions. It was a phenomenal experience. After clearing the MBA entrance exam  I was confused to choose the college/institute. I was looking for an institute that would meet my expectations and aspirations, and would help me grow and evolve as a professional. It was a tough decision to take. When I looked through the internet, a lot of webistes suggested that I should be very careful while selecting an institute. With my background in arts, I wasn't sure if I'd be able to cope with such a different curriculum. But to my surprise, everyone from faculty, batch mates and the industry experts at the college were motivating and made the management education interesting and meaningful. Undoubtedly, technical jargon and accounting calculations were baffling in the beginning, but with time and continuous training and guidance, it became a cakewalk. The faculty here is supportive towards the needs of each student. Whether we wish to join corporate or other areas of interest, the mentors are there to guide us at every step of the journey. Trust me, there was no better option than JIMS, Rohini.

Tell us about MBA/PGDM Experience at JIMS Rohini?

The MBA pedagogy at the institute prepares the candidates to embrace the corporate world and also shapes our personality for the job market. The classroom assignments and the lectures followed a case-study inclusive approach and were quite interactive. It helped us understand how the industry works. Special guest lectures were organised in online mode with the industry experts. The best part was the Founder series which gave us a chance to meet with some of the budding entrepreneurs who have established successful start-ups in the recent past. The institute also organised several symposiums and conferences that provided us a platform to interact with the industry experts. The engaging sessions and mindful stimulation helped to boost the regular classroom learning. I was personally fascinated with the industry visits that were organised to give us a sneak peek about the industry and how it functions. On the other hand, our visit to the NGOs helped us learn a lot about how rural India operates and lives.

The alumni sessions were quite jovial and insightful and provided us another perspective. These were the people who hailed from the institute before we ventured into management. They motivated us and also cautioned us with their own stories of success and failure that they shared with us. They were live testimonials who cleared the doubts clouding our minds. They were the true heritage of the institute whom we could trust to help us build a bright future.

When the Final Placements Drive Happens at JIMS Rohini?

When we reached the stage of final placements, the college provided ample opportunities. Last year more than 250 companies visited the campus. The placement team of the institute is quite active and had organised several sessions on mock interviews and group discussions. Personal sessions were scheduled with a soft-skill trainer who helped us understand our strengths and weaknesses. My personal experience with the final placement drive has been excellent. Initially I was under-confident to face the recruiters. However, consistent and continuous efforts of the faculty and placement team and my hands-on experiences with multiple recruiters in the past two years increased my confidence and ability. I was able to handle the interviews and group discussions well and I got selected by a good company brand in the BFSI sector. I got selected at ICICI Lombard GIC as Sales Manager with a lucrative pay package of INR 9.5 LPA.I really treasure my memories of the MBA journey at JIMS Rohini Sec-5 and I will cherish these throughout my life.
