Mystory@Yashna jhamb: How I chose my course and college

I am a student of Institute of Information Technology & Management (IITM), Janakpuri and it was not easy to get admission in my college. Honestly, I never thought I would ever take admission in this college as I always wanted to be a fashion designer and do something innovative but I ended up doing BBA.

Business Studies was something I used to hate but after pursuing BBA at my college I started liking it. I didn't scored well in my UG admission test so I could not get admission in the best college. But I like my college. It is new and its faculty members are good. I also like the subjects I am taught as part of my course and honestly it is easy to score well in BBA.

I really like BBA and my college and obviously my college friends too. It was hard to choose a course that I never thought of doing but as time passed I started liking BBA and developed an interest in it.

How I cracked my college admission

In my Common Entrance Test (CET), I secured 10,000 rank which was not good and I had no hope of securing admission in a good college. As time passed I did not receive even a single call from any good University for admission and I even thought of taking a drop year. But then suddenly I got a call from IITM. They called me a day before the orientation.

The college is good and it is near my house but at the time of admission I was not sure about how the college really was. So, I went to the college and met the faculty members and that was when I made the decision to join this college and my journey here has been great.

My college life: classes, extra-curricular activities and more

My college days were very difficult in the beginning but as time passed, I adapted to the environment and I actually saw the positive side of my college life. There are a lot of things that are pretty good in my college. The faculty members are very helpful, my college friends are also very helpful and the best thing about my college is that it really focuses on sports and other extra-curricular activities like painting, singing, dancing, fashion shows, and a lot more and I am glad to be a part of this college.

I have spent majority of my college days preparing presentations but next year I will participate in Sports events also and will try to win an award for my college in it.

College life is something that I had never been able to imagine before. I have had many memorable moments at my college and I will never forget my days at IITM.
