Q: Which subject did you find most challenging, and how did you overcome it?
A: I found German quite challenging. Being a foreign language, understanding basic grammar concepts and vocabulary was tough. I watched German movies and talked with friends in German along with daily reading and practice to master this subject.
Q: During your CBSE board preparation, what did your daily routine look like, and how many hours did you spend studying on average?
A: I would wake up at 6, then I would revise any subject of my choice after which I would have breakfast then I would lock myself in a quiet room and solve question papers of last years. After that, I would take a 1 to 2-hour break in which I would do anything to refresh my mind. After lunch, I used to revise topics and solve questions from exemplar or other reference books.
Q: What was your strategy to score 97.2%?
A: My strategy was simple, consistency over intensity. I made rough notes in class and revised them at home which helped me memorise easily. Also after practicing CBSE 10th Previous year question paper I made sure to check my mistakes and weak points and made a note of them.
Q: How important were NCERT books in your preparation? Did you use any additional resources?
A: NCERT was backbone of my preparation. I made sure to go through it multiple times, highlighting important lines with bright colours so I don't forget to revise them. Apart from that I practiced and evaluated myself using NCERT exemplars and previous year question papers. I mostly revised from this book called ALL IN ONE, it has all information with headings, bullet points, mind maps and questions.
Q: Did you follow any specific strategy for revision in last 1 to 2 months?
A: Yes, in last 1 to 2 months I focused purely on practicing and improving myself. Early in morning I would revise a subject and after that I would sit in my room for 3 hours and attempt previous year question paper of that subject.
Q: What are your future plans? Which career path are you aiming?
A: I have taken PCM and aiming for top IITs and then IIM. For a career path I have settled on top level executive in a technical or fintech firm but I am exploring and open to more options.
Q: Please share some tips for students prepping to appear in CBSE Board Exams 2027?
A: Before-hand reading of topics before class really helps manage homework and self study which is a tough task for students, even myself. Consistency is key. Another small tip if you are studying a foreign language, watch movies in that language, it helps you master it without learning thousands of gramatic rules.
