CBSE 10th Topper 2026 Interview: Jeremy George Vengal has obtained 97.8% in CBSE class 10th board exams. Sharing his preparation journey, he said that NCERT books were his main focus and helped him build a strong base in all subjects. Along with this, he used reference and exercise books, especially for Mathematics and Science, to improve his understanding and practice more questions.

He also made it a habit to regularly solve previous year questions (PYQs) and worksheets, which helped him get familiar with exam pattern. Jeremy prepared notes in advance so that revision became easier during exams. Instead of studying for long hours, he focused on short but productive study sessions. He believes that regular practice, clear concepts and smart study planning played an important role in his success.

Q: Congratulations on your result! How was your reaction after seeing CBSE 10th results? Did you score what you expected?

A: I was happy with my CBSE 10th results. I was expecting more in Mathematics. 

Q: Please tell us something about your family background?

A: My father is working as an Executive Manager IT Portfolio & Planning with Burgan Bank and my mother is working as an HR Manager with a bank in Kuwait. My brother is awaiting his 12th standard cbse board results.

Q: How important were NCERT books in your preparation? Did you use any additional resources?

A: NCERT books are my priority. Additional reference and exercise books definitely give an upper edge and I have used them specifically for Mathematics and Science. 

Q Which subject did you find most challenging, and how did you overcome it?

A: I find it challenging to get high score in English. I was trying to work on question papers of last few years.

Q: Did you follow any specific strategy for revision in last 1 to 2 months?

A: Notes prepared earlier and revision really helped me in last 1 to 2 months.

Q: During your CBSE board preparation, what did your daily routine look like, and how many hours did you spend studying on average?

A: More than hours spent, its about quality time spent. I focused on subjects requiring more attention. On average, I used to spend 6 to 8 hours daily.

Q: Please share some tips for students prepping to appear in CBSE Board Exams 2027?

A: I would suggest students prepare notes in advance, spent short but quality time in studies and have a motivator. For me, my parents had promised me enrollment to gym. Dream it and you will achieve.

Q: What are your future plans? Which career path are you aiming?

A: I have taken PCM. I aim to have career in engineering with a stream I will select in due course of time after evaluating options.
