Students who have not collected their CBSE migration certificate yet must note that the migration certificate CBSE is a very important document required by students for their admissions, higher studies, jobs, and other future endeavors. Students who could not clear their CBSE exams are advised to sit for improvement/ additional subjects and clear all their exams before applying for a CBSE migration certificate online.

CBSE 10th, 12th Migration Certificate: How to get a migration certificate from CBSE?

As CBSE 10th Results 2025 and CBSE 12th Result 2025 are declared, students who appeared for CBSE 10th Board Exams 2025 and CBSE 12th Board Exams 2025 can download their CBSE Class 10 migration certificate and CBSE Class 12 migration certificate online through Digilocker. Students must note that downloading DigiLocker app is not mandatory. Students can simply go to the online website digilocker.gov.in to download CBSE Migration certificate. In addition, students may also download their CBSE mark sheet from the DigiLocker online portal. 

Q:   When will CBSE conduct the CBSE 10th, 12th practical exams 2026?
A:

CBSE will conduct the CBSE practical exams between January 1 and Feb 14, 2026. There is no external examiner allotted to conduct practical exams for Class 10, while external examiners are called to conduct the CBSE 12th practical exams. 

For winter-bound schools, CBSE practical exams 2026 were held between November 6 and December 6, 2026.

Q:   When will CBSE conduct CBSE 12th Science exam 2026?
A:

Steps to download CBSE Migration Certificate

Follow the below-mentioned simple steps for CBSE migration certificate download 2025:

  1. Visit the official website of DigiLocker, i.e. digilocker.gov.in or download the official app from Google Play Store or Apple Store on your smartphones.
  2. Use verified mobile number registered with the CBSE Board to log in.
  3. Use the OTP received on the registered mobile number to login to DigiLocker account.
  4. Please note- You must use the mobile number that you gave at the time of filling the CBSE application form. Students may even access their DigiLocker account by registering through their Aadhar Card number – which was provided.
  5. After entering the OTP, the system would prompt the students for a security pin. Use the last six digits of the CBSE Roll number as mentioned on the CBSE 10th Admit Card 2025/ CBSE 12th Admit Card 2025 as the security pin.
  6. Once logged in, students can check and download their CBSE 12th Board Exams 2025/ CBSE 10th Board Exams 2025 Migration Certificate online from a list of documents on the dashboard itself.

Note: Students can also download CBSE 10th, 12th pass certificate and CBSE 10th mark sheet as well as CBSE 12th marksheet through DigiLocker.

CBSE Class 10, 12 Results 2025

CBSE results 2025 Class 10, 12 have been announced. Students can check and download CBSE 10th results and CBSE 12th results from the official website of the Board, cbse.gov.in.

Meanwhile, students will be able to download CBSE Class 10 migration certificate 2025 and migration certificate CBSE Class 12 2025 only after the release of CBSE 10th Results 2025 and CBSE 12th Results 2025.

Permitted Items for CBSE Board Exam

  • Regular students must carry their admit card and school identity card for verification at centre.
  • CBSE Admit Card & Any Government-Issued Photo Identity Proof (For Private Students)

Migration certificates and TC are to different documents. CBSE Migration certificates are only provided when a student has completed and cleared her/his Class 10 or 10 2 examinations from a recognized board. On the other hand, transfer certificates are issued when a student chooses to transfer to another university or school during the academic year.
