Q: Congratulations on your result! How was your reaction after seeing the results? Did you score what you expected?

Prakhar: When I first saw my results, my hands were shaking. I think it was a mix of excitement and nervousness. Yes, I scored exactly what I expected, which made the discovery even more satisfying.

Q: Please tell us something about your family background.

Prakhar: I’m from Sant Kabir Nagar in Uttar Pradesh. My father is a Junior Engineer in the PWD and is from Gorakhpur. My mother and her family is from Khalilabad and they run a small business. I studied from Class 1 to 10 at Seth M.R. Jaipuria School in Hardoi.

Q Which subject did you find most challenging, and how did you overcome it?

Prakhar: English was the hardest subject for me. I kept getting around 72 marks again and again, but my teacher, Urvashi ma’am, and practice, helped me slowly improve.

Q How important were NCERT books in your preparation? Did you use any additional resources?

Prakhar: NCERT books helped me a lot. Social Science and English were especially useful for theory. During revision, I also used MTG books to learn a bit more.

Q: What was your routine during CBSE board exam preparation?

Prakhar: I didn’t have a fixed routine earlier. But in the last month, I solved one sample paper every day, checked my mistakes, and revised the chapters I didn’t understand well.

Q: What is your favourite subject?

Prakhar: My favourite subjects are Physics and Mathematics.

Q: What was your strategy to score above 99.2%?

Prakhar: My biggest strategy was believing I could score above 99%. I also followed my teacher’s advice every day.

Q: Did you take any online or offline coaching?

Prakhar: Yes, I had joined a coaching class. I used it only for revising topics rather than depending on it completely.

Q: What are your future plans? Which career path are you aiming?

Prakhar: I plan to clear JEE Mains and Advanced. IIT or IISER is the end goal.

Q: Please share some tips for students prepping to appear in CBSE Board Exams 2027

Prakhar: I would say study in a way that you enjoy it. In Class 10, I also played cards, chess, and cricket along with my studies. When it’s time to study, focus properly; but don’t forget to enjoy. Learn for understanding. Do not make the mistake of studying just for marks. If your concepts are clear, good marks will come on their own; maybe better than mine.
