Newly launched Great Lakes International University to offer BBA and B Tech in Computer Science

Great Lakes Institute of Management, Chennai, has recently launched its International University to be set up in Andhra Pradesh. The Great Lakes International University (GLIU) is one of the first few private universities being set up in the state.

Initially, GLIU will offer BBA and B Tech in Computer Science programmes. The business degree will offer specialisations in ecommerce, business analytics, digital marketing, supply chain management and fintech, while specialisations B.Tech degree includes learning and artificial intelligence, big data analytics, Internet of Things, and cloud computing and cyber security.

Speaking about the course, Dr. Bala V Balachandran, Founder & Chancellor, Great Lakes International University and Founder & Dean, Great Lakes Institute of Management, said, ”Great Lakes has been able to develop one of India’s top 10 business schools in 10 years using its twin mantras of ‘Global Mindsets, Indian Roots’ and ‘Blending Academic Excellence with Business Relevance’. Mr Lakhamraju added that GLIU has been designed with a multidisciplinary approach in mind, drawing inspiration from top international business schools like The Wharton School and Singapore Management University; where the focus will not be only on core competencies like business and technology, but also on building a broad-based intellectual foundation through studying the liberal arts.

Seat intake will be 120 students for each course.
