AR Engineering College is the best college in Villupuram.

I'm satisfied with the teachers. Placements are pretty much good compared to our neighbour college.
Placements: About 50% of the students from the mechanical engineering course got placed. The highest salary offered was Rs. 25,000 per month and the lowest salary offered was Rs. 8,000 per month. The average salary offered may be around Rs. 15,000 per month. Top companies don't recruit us. Mostly they offered a role as a junior engineer. The average salary offered in our course is around Rs. 10,000 per month. About 45% of the students got internships from our course in tier-2 companies
Infrastructure: I am pursuing my mechanical engineering course here, and mostly all labs here are high tech. Lab staff members are also well knowledgeable. Classrooms are not like smart classrooms, and if students need anything, then staff members teach through projectors. The sports ground is huge, which helps us to participate in all kinds of games. The quality of the hostel is not very much good as it's average because rooms are not ultra cleaned. They also allocate many students for a single room. The food served is pretty good, and weekly twice, they provide non-vegetarian.
Faculty: Mostly, assistant professors here are well talented and very experienced. They have more experience, which helps us to perform well in academics. So we can score high marks. I am pursuing a mechanical engineering course, and it's very much practical to work in companies.
Other: I chose this department because I like to experience a mechanical field. Moreover, I like to experience its essential things nowadays. Every year, our college conducts department wise workshops in which students get to learn a lot of things from other colleges students also. Our college celebrates cultural events every year like dance, singing, sports and a lot of events.

The worst college iam not enjoy the my college life.
Placements: There are no placements in our college. Its a jail for the college and they think the student should only pass without any sports day, cultural day. But all students pass with a degree. Our college principal says it is important to clear all the subjects. No company offered any job.
Infrastructure: There's only theory but no practicals. The classrooms & labs are good. There are no games and the hostel is the worst. The canteen is the worst. There is no Wi-Fi in this college, food is the worst of in our college. The main problem is the water here. There's no pure water and the library has limited books.
Faculty: Our teachers are good and knowledgeable. The mechanical department is the best course in our college. Most of the students study in the mechanical department. The mechanical staff is friendly. Our college's principal is a very good person only the EEE staff are the hungry ones.
Other: No events.

So far good for those who wants to score higher percentage and marks precisely for slow learners.
Placements: I think there are no placements nowadays. You can study only for the degree not for placements here. Some companies will come but they are not trustworthy. Even though I was selected from the campus, many will come and get money from you, but they won't provide jobs. The institute will not take care of this.
Infrastructure: So far, the infrastructure is also not that much good with four buildings. But here in the lab, they have all the instruments which all other top colleges don't have. A canteen is available but is not good and you are not allowed to eat outside the campus. You can study here score high marks and percentage.
Faculty: Faculty members are good. They will make you to score high marks, and they will help you score higher marks in tough subjects as well. They are conducting special classes, seminars, daily tests, monthly tests and evening classes.
Other: The college is so far good for those who want to score higher marks, but you need to sacrifice some for this. They will make arrangements if you like to study from the hostel. They will do anything for you to make you pass the exams.

Other: The college provides opportunities for students to explore their own self and reach their goals. The college is not well advanced and lacks some amenities. The faculty and infrastructure is decent enough. Overall the college is decent to join. A student can have better options.

Other: 5 year ago, this was a good college for engineering but now it’s no more a great college to do engineering. At that time, the campus was good and students got rupees 3 to 7 lacs per annum. However, now there's no campus placement for students. At an earlier time, companies like TCS Wipro etc. used to come but nowadays it’s totally different. The principal of the college has been arrested and charged with having a college in which he gave fraud degrees. Everything is poor in this college as the teachers are the worst. I request the students to not go for this college. The degree of this college is not at all valuable.

Other: To be frankly speaking, this college is total waste.Nobody is concerned about the attendance & discipline. The administration is fully corrupted. They will take money and allow for the exams even when you have no attendance.Lab facilities are poor.I would suggest if you just want to enjoy & are not bothered about gaining knowledge, then this would be a right choice.

Glad to review my college. I'm from 2016 batch of Electrical and Electronics department.
Placements: Only 60% of students are placed. The average package offered is Rs 15,500 and the highest package offered is Rs 23,000. TVS, Lucas, Roadmap IT Solutions, and HCL Technologies are the major recruiters. 25% of students get an internship at a stipend of Rs 10,500 as an electrical technician role or as a supervisor in an electrical substation.
Infrastructure: The facilities ratio is 10:1. Our college's infrastructure is great and the auditorium is large in size. In our electrical department, we have separate Wi-Fi and projector screens for the classroom. In our college, the preference for sports is very low, but sometimes sports events are contacted twice a year.
Faculty: All our teachers are qualified in M.Tech, M.E, and PhD. They're all always ready to be available for students' career growth. Also, they take care of more below-average level students like me. The electrical and electronics engineering departments are curriculum related. I am also working in an electrical substation. At Anna University, Chennai, the syllabus is sometimes hard to pass and the pass percentage is 50%. Mathematical papers are difficult.
Other: The world is full of power systems. All industries require electrical technicians and engineers, so I chose it. I wish to gather more knowledge in my electrical field. Scholarships are available for students. I also got a stipend credited to my account. An electrical tech fest is conducted every year twice, with another campus student participating. In our college, extra-curricular activities are conducted only once.
