Review of Amrita School of Biotechnology, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham - Amritapuri Campus.
Placements: Students of biotechnology have the opportunity to get hired by companies like Serum Institute, Biocon, Merck, and various areas of the world. The payroll should usually lie between 3.5 to 8.9 Lacs for an annum. Mostly 70 to 80% of students got placed in the drives conducted by the college.
Infrastructure: Eligibility would vary from one course to another, for getting admitted into various courses as first step is to clear the entrance examinations arranged by the college. Mobile phone usage is strictly prohibited on campus, especially in the classrooms.
Faculty: Teachers usually have some benchmarks for the student's results. In the end, the result should be attained, because of such efforts provided by the teachers on us. Even though I cleared my examination in first class with distinctions, this credit fully goes to my teachers.

It is a good college, but I suggest students don't listen to rumors.
Placements: As of now, we have not had any placements, but when asked seniors told us that the college has pretty good placements. The lowest package offered is 1 LPA. The highest package is 12 LPA. There are multiple offers for research and development and offers from companies as well. More than 50% of students got internships.
Infrastructure: Veg food is provided. It has a clean hostel with Wi-Fi. There are smart classrooms and the best labs for the biotechnology course in India. Classrooms also have pretty high-quality desks and chairs. The hostel is also pretty good. We get eggs 2 times per week. There is a sports complex and Wi-Fi. There is a government hospital nearby and the Amrita clinic as well.
Faculty: Teachers make sure we study. The course curriculum is very relevant, and it makes students pretty ready. Exams are not that bad. If we put in some work, then we can get marks. Some teachers are smart. They actually do care, unlike others. The teaching quality is also very good.
Other: Overall, it is a great college. Students should not listen to rumors. It has pretty good campus life and great exposure. The course is future-proof, so I chose it.

B.Sc. in Microbiology is the course.
Placements: The program offers placements in various roles like microbiologist, quality analyst, and research assistant, with packages like 3.5 LPA, 4.8 LPA, 15.6 LPA. Placements are secured with succeeding companies such as Nestlé, Biocon, and Cipla, as well as other top laboratories. The program also provides better suggestions for joining internships.
Infrastructure: The college administration was so restrictive that we could not do anything against them. Most day scholars preferred to use college transportation instead of public facilities because it was very affordable. The laboratories are specially designed for all the disciplines.
Faculty: Every staff member is assigned to specific subjects and they mostly have different experiences, skill sets, and knowledge. However, the technical assistants hired for the laboratories are not well-qualified, which often creates controversial discussions among the students.

    Really good infrastructure and facilities.
Placements: As I'm pursuing a bachelor's degree it is not useful to get placed. I'm planning to pursue a master's degree. But there are useful internships which can be done by bachelor's students which are very helpful for our future studies.
Infrastructure: College has a state of laboratories and facilities, providing students with opportunities for hands-on learning and research. Hostel is well-maintained and has basic amenities like Wi-Fi, and laundry facilities and is always secure with 24/7 CCTV.
Faculty: Faculty members are highly qualified and experienced, with many holding and having extensive research experience. Course curriculum does make students industry-ready. Pass percentage is around 40%. They organize industrial expos for students to the latest trends and developments in the biotechnology industry.
Other: This is a friendly campus.

A really good college for Biotechnology. Not a big campus, neither is the surrounding.
Placements: None of the students were placed. No placements for B.Sc. Biotechnology. I think there are placements after M.Sc. Not a lot, though. A few students got into internships, but those were through their own individual efforts and not from the college. There isn’t any placement after your UG for Biotechnology.
Infrastructure: The college has well-maintained labs but not enough classrooms. The academic and research labs are one of the best aspects of this institution. The hostel rooms are pretty decent. The food in the hostel is not really great. The wardens are not the best. I would suggest staying out of the hostel.
Faculty: Most of the faculty are great at teaching, very professional, friendly, and well-educated in the field. Exams have a good pattern and a pretty good curriculum. The teaching quality is really good, and they are ready to share their knowledge. Exams are pretty tough and will definitely test what you have studied.
Other: There was a multi-fest during my second year, which was fabulous. There are a lot of programs that happen around the campus, but the crowd, as such, is not great. If you are looking for campus life, then this is not the best. But if academics is your goal, then this college is one of the best you can get in this field.

Faced a lot of challenges in completing the courses.
Placements: While thinking about my career growth, I had started to do my first internship in the second year of college biogenex a biotechnology company providing offers to all the talented students. As soon as end of the third year we had opportunities to explore for all the offers in the campus drives.
Infrastructure: The canteen lounges were so massive and thousands of students had their lunch at a time. Canteen food contact would be given to the private contractors providing quality food to the students. Individual hostel accommodations are provided for girls and boys students.
Faculty: Some of the teachers who were highly qualified and experienced were moved out of the college due to the sufficient payments provided to them. Only the teachers with less experience and some of the fresh graduates were appointed to handle all the subjects.
