Best diploma engineering college in West Bengal.
Placements: Our college, Birla Institute of Technology, provides a great placement rate of 90% and the remaining students chose higher studies. Average salary offers in diploma engineering are around 3.4 LPA, the highest package is 4.8 LPA, and the lowest package is 2.2 LPA. In the diploma in mechanical engineering, top recruiting companies are Tata, Hitachi, Larsen and Tubro, etc. Internships in this course are mandatory, students take internships form Gunshell factor, Railway, NTPC, DVC, WBSCDL, etc. For diploma engineering students, they mostly receive offers for quality control officer, supervisors, service engineer, and junior engineer.
Infrastructure: Birla Institute of Technology provides a great facilities and infrastructure for. Wi-Fi is usually available throughout the campus. Hostel facilities provided only for female candidates, food quality, and other amenities vary greatly between institutions. College hostels offer spacious, well-ventilated rooms with others basic accommodation. Food quality in canteens is hygiene and tasty. Medical facilities and sports/games is provided, dedicated sports ground have limited options.
Faculty: For teachers to be considered helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable, they need strong subject matter expertise and pedagogical skills. Mechanical engineering curriculum is highly relevant, though its effectiveness in making students industry-ready depends on its integration of modern technologies, hands-on training, and practical experiences like internships and workshops. To pass this course, you have to study throughout the year, also requiring a minimum of 40% in each subject and an overall score for passing.
Other: I chose this course because I have always been fascinated by mechanical engineering. The subject matter genuinely interests me, and I want to delve deeper into its intricacies and complexities. While academics are strong, I wish there were more varied extracurricular activities or clubs to explore different interests and build a well-rounded profile. The college hosts more events and festivals to enhance the campus experience and provide a platform for student interaction and talent showcases.

Birla Institute of Technology has a good infrastructure. Labs are small with old lab instruments.
Placements: In our college, 80-90% of students get jobs through placements in many companies. My seniors are getting jobs through my college with a great package, with their numbers. Our college does everything to provide internships for students, maybe paid or free of cost.
Infrastructure: We have a canteen, more classrooms, a library, free Wi-Fi, and everything. We played every day at break time and enjoyed playing cricket and badminton. Every winter, it arranges a small football competition.
Faculty: Our college teachers are very helpful. They always help me to understand everything. We have teachers for all subjects. In labs, they help us to understand all things. They make us learn every single thing with more information, and also practically. We have good lecturers and a principal. Everyone is so great here.

Absolutely satisfactory faculty members, good placements in 2025, and really good infrastructure.
Placements: Around 85% of students get successfully placed in companies, and other students usually choose higher studies. The average package offered for the course is 2.08 LPA. The top recruiting companies in the college are L&T, Voltas, HPL, Hyundai, Canam, Gilbarco, Wipro, and Centum. Throughout this course, students are offered roles as junior trainee engineers.
Infrastructure: Well-equipped classrooms. Libraries with both physical and digital resources. Laboratories for various disciplines and recreational spaces are available. Well-lit, ventilated, and spacious classrooms are essential for effective teaching and learning. Language labs provide resources for language learning and practice.
Faculty: They act as mentors, role models, and sources of support. Significantly impacting students' academic and personal growth. Professors deliver course material. But they also strive to make it accessible and engaging by using diverse teaching methods and providing relevant study materials.
Other: On-campus and off-campus housing options are available with basic amenities and security. Food service facilities are for students. There are spaces for students to relax, socialize, and interact with each other.

This is a good college and a good placement in 2023.
Placements: 84% of students are placed from our course. The highest salary package is 6.9 LPA, the average salary package is 4.32 LPA, and the lowest salary package is 2.6 LPA. Top recruiting companies are L&T Power and JSW Steel. More than 90% of students have done internships at Booster Company. Top role is a mental testing engineer.
Infrastructure: There is no Wi-Fi on the college campus. The labs are well and we go there for testing. The classrooms are big and clean. A big library is available, but many books are old versions. There is only a girls' hostel on campus, but no boys' hostel. There are many messes outside the campus. Canteen food is tasty, healthy, and hygienic.
Faculty: Teachers are very knowledgeable and helpful, they provide notes and suggestions for us. The teaching quality is good, and we understand well. The students are ready for the industry. Semester examinations are tough, with no help from teachers. They behave strictly during exam time.

Placements: 92% of students are placed from my course in many reputed companies. In my course, the highest salary package is 8.2 LPA, and the lowest salary package is 4.1 LPA. Many companies come here to pick students as employees. The top recruiting companies are Tata Motors, Tata Voltas, and JSW Cement. 100% of students got internships in Booster. The top role offered by the company is junior engineer.
Infrastructure: There is no Wi-Fi available for students, and there is no chemistry lab for 1st year students. However, all other labs are in good condition and everything is working properly. There is a big library and huge books. The classrooms are clean. There is only a girls' hostel on our college campus, but many boys' hostel available outside.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable in our course. The teaching quality is very good and advanced, we can learn easily. Everyone is done with their internship, so everybody is ready for the industry. Semester examinations are tough and need too much study to carry a good number in semester examinations. The passing percentage is 60%.

It is the best college for Polytechnic students. Good placement in 2023, good infrastructure.
Placements: 95% of students were placed in our course. The highest package in our course is 11 LPA and average package is 7 LPA and the lowest package is 3 LPA. In our course, the top recruiting companies are JSW, Steel Limited, and Blue Star Limited. 80% of Students got internships in L&T. In our course top-role junior engineer is offered.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is available for official work. All labs are present but chemistry labs are not present. In our college library, many books are available but most of them are old versions. Only girls hostel available. For boys, many messes are surrounding in our college. Canteens' food is hygienic and tasty. Some sports instruments are available.
Faculty: Our teachers are highly educated and qualified. They teach us in a very unique way. Their teaching techniques are awesome. They solve our all problems. They guide us every time. It makes our for industrial work. Semester exams are not so tough. 80% of students passed our course.

No, you cannot take BITSAT in 2026 if you passed the 12th grade in 2024. The eligibility criteria for BITSAT allows candidates to appear only in the year they pass their 12th and the subsequent year. If you are repeating 12th exam, you should do it for all the subjects to pass 12th again as mentioned in the BITSAT brochure. If you take improvement exams in PCM/PCB only or only in few subject/s, you are not eligible. I passed 12th exam in 2024. Am I eligible to appear for BITSAT-2025?
