Calcutta Institute of Technology, through seven departments, offers UG, PG, and Diploma courses to students. These courses are provided across the Engineering, Computer Applications, and various other streams. Some of the courses are provided in affiliation with the Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology and the West Bengal State Council of Technical Education. The college was established in 2004 and is the Directorate of Higher Education, Government of West Bengal, and AICTE-approved college. The college even provides placement assistance to students and is visited by top companies for placements. Hence, it is worth all the hype.

At the UG level, the college offers four-year BTech course in 10 specialisations, namely Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, and others. At the PG level, the college offers MTech and MCA courses to students. The college also provides three-year Diploma courses to students, such as Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, and others.
