At Chintamanrao Institute of Management Development and Research (CIMDR), getting admission is slightly competitive. For getting admission to MBA, the candidates must have a Bachelor degree with a minimum aggregate of 50% and have to qualify national level entrance exam (MAT, XAT, CAT or CMAT). Although this is a reputed institute, the placement is somewhere around 40-60 % which means students don't get jobs right after completing their graduation. Entrance to the college is possible but students should be well-prepared for the entrance tests and interviews as per to increase the chances. Admissions to other courses are considered less competitive, as they are done based on the scores obtained in previous qualifications.

The institute is accepting applications from the list of national level entrance exams that are XAT, CAT, CMAT, ATMA and MAH CET etc. A candidate must be a graduate with aggregate of 50% or above. In the selection process, GD & PI of shortlisted candidates that gives us multiple windows for admission considering various performances in the entrance exam to cater the flexibility of giving multiple attempts by the applicants.

These are:- MBA, BBA, UG Diploma, and MCA. Admission to the MBA course at the college is done based on the scores obtained in the MAH CET, CMAT, XAT, or ATMA exams.
