A comparative analysis of the placement trends of DPG Institute of Technology and Management as well as Droncaharya College of Engineering reveals that;Although both colleges have decent records of placements, it seems that DPG Institute of Technology and Management has the slightest advantage. In the most recent academic year, 100% placement rate was attained at DPG Institute which attracted top recruiters such as Infosys, TCS and IBM offering an average package of INR 2-3.5 LPA upto a the highest package of INR 12 LPA. On the other hand, Dronacharya College of Engineering has also recorded good placements but not at such high levels; averaging around INR 2-3 LPA. Nevertheless, it is important to understand that placements depend on individual performances making them differ from one year to another . Overall, if we take into consideration only two aspects such as number of students placed & average salary offered respectively then DPG institutions seem to have slight advantage over its counterpart colleges in terms placement opportunities available during job search process in these institutions’ stock broker majors' placement cells amid intense competition among other private engineering colleges.
