The institute offers Diploma and certificate programmes in filmmaking at the postgraduate level. Minimum Eligibility Criteria for admission in FTII :-
The candidate needs to have a graduation in the respective specialisation or equivalent from a recognised University. Admission Process of FTII :-
A Joint Entrance Test JET is conducted by Film and Television Institute of India (FTII), Pune and Satyajit Ray Film and Television Institute (SRFTI), Kolkata to shortlist aspirants for admission in various courses offered by these institutes. Based on the performance of written and oral examination, a final merit list is announced by the Institute for the selection of candidates. Shortlisting is done in two stages:
Result-1 is announced on the basis of the written examination and auditions. Result 2 is announced for the candidates who cleared the written examination. These candidates then go through orientation and personal interview. Final merit list will be prepared on the basis of 1st and 2nd result lists each carrying 50% weightage in subject to qualifying on a medical test. Application Process
Applicants can apply online through the official website of FTII-www.ftiindia.com. Follow the below-mentioned steps to fill the application form-Log onto the official website of FTIIClick on the APPLY ONLINE link available on the page. Click on APPLICATION FORM option from the list. Fill the form with your details which include-
1. Candidates Name
2. Parents details
3. Address and Phone Number
4. Academic Qualification
5. Course Details
6. Demand Draft Number
7. Issuing Bank
Take a print out of the application form and attach these documents with it-2 passport size photographs 4.5x3.5 cmDemand DraftDeclaration by parents/Guardian and by students. Photocopy of required certificates. Once you have attached the required certificates and documents, submit your application form to The Controller of Examination, Film and Television Institute of India. Good luck.

Yes, you can apply for it without class 11th and class 12th after passing class 10th. Choose Diploma course in whatever branch you want and apply for it. Or, go for higher secondary for pursuing graduation.
