While preparing the cutoff for the FIEM BTech course, the authorities will consider examination and admission-related factors. The listed factors will be checked and considered by the authorities while determining the cutoff of the Future Institute of Engineering and Management—previous years' cutoff trends, difficulty level of exam, total number of qualified candidates, total number of candidates applying for a specific course, number of seats available for a particular BTech specialisation, etc. After checking all of these factors, the authorities will prepare the cutoff based on WBJEE/ JEE Mains scores for BTech and JELET for BTech LE courses.

Before being admitted to the course, applicants are required to complete their minimum eligibility criteria; that is, applicants must complete their Class 12 with a minimum aggregate of 45% and must have studied Physics, Mathematics, and English as one of their main subjects and Chemistry/ Biotechnology/ Biology/ Computer Science/ Computer Application/ Technical Vocational as an additional subject. Yes, candidates can take admission in the FIEM BTech course without JEE Mains scores, because the college also accepts valid scores of WBJEE for admission to BTech courses. Therefore, applicants with valid scores in any of the following entrance exams can get admission to BTech courses. Thus, candidates can get admission with JEE Mains; however, it is not compulsory.The college also reserves seats for candidates having scores in different entrance exams. 80% of seats are filled by qualified WBJEE candidates, 10% of seats are filled by qualified JEE (Main) candidates, and 10% of seats are allocated under a Management Quota for candidates with valid WBJEE or JEE (Main) rank cards.
