Yes, the Goa Institute of Management's PGDM programme is recognised as equivalent to an MBA degree by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU). This recognition helps to ensure that GIM's PGDM holds the same status and credibility as an MBA degree in India.

The NIRF Ranking 2022 places GIM Goa and TAPMI in the 'Management' category. In the rating, GIM Goa is ranked 36th. India Today 2021 has placed GIM as the 13th-best MBA program. According to the most recent research, INR 55 LPA was the highest package offered during the GIM placements in 2023.
