Admission to GIM Goa is entrance-based. Candidates must first apply for admission via online mode. The selection process for PGDM course, includes XAT, CAT, CMAT, GMAT scores followed by face-to-face evaluation and profile assessment index. For PGDM BDA, candidates must also qualify GIM Analytics Aptitude Test (GAAT) for admission. FPM admission is based on XAT/ CAT/ GMAT/ JRF and other score followed by a personal interview round. The institute offers a GIM Online Active Learning (GOAL) PGDM course for a duration of two years. GOAL PGDM is for working professionals and individuals who are unable to take time off work to attend the full-time course. This course is particularly designed for individuals who wish to progress in their existing careers. Admission to GOAL PGDM is based on CAT/ MAT/ XAT/ GMAT/ CMAT score followed by a PI round. Candidates who have completed a bachelor’s degree or equivalent with at least 50% aggregate and a minimum of three-year work experience can apply for GOAL PGDM admission.

The institute offers a four-year full-time residential Fellowship Programme in Management at the doctoral level. The course is offered in 12 specialisations. Admission to FPM course is based on XAT/ CAT/ MAT/ GMAT/ JRF scores followed by a PI round. The institute also considers the academic performance, work experience, research proposal and statement of purpose of the candidates. GIM Goa provides merit-based scholarships to students pursuing a programme from the institute. It also provides a tuition fee waiver scheme to students whose family income is less than INR 8 LPA. The tuition fee waiver is awarded to deserving students subject to a maximum of 5% of the students admitted. The facility of education loans is also available to students.
