The private, independent Bonam Venkata Chalamayya Engineering College (BVCEC) was founded in East Godavari, Andhra Pradesh, in 1997. It is associated with Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (JNTU), Kakinada, has been authorized by the AICTE, and has received an A+ grade from the NAAC. The college, which offers a variety of undergraduate and graduate engineering and management degrees is run by the BVC Group, which was established by Sri Bonam Kanakayya. Government College of Engineering and Ceramic Technology (GCECT) is a government college, not a private one. It was founded in 1941 and falls under the Department of Higher Education, Government of West Bengal. The college is government funded and governed, granting engineering courses at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. It is affiliated with Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology and renowned for its autonomy and NAAC accreditation. IMPS College of Engineering & Technology (IMPSCET) is a private college in Malda, West Bengal. Founded in 2003, it is an AICTE-approved college affiliated to the Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology (formerly WBUT). The college offers BTech in various specialisations, including CSE, EE, etc.

Direct admission to the Government College of Engineering and Ceramic Technology is not usually available. Admission to B.Tech programs is mostly through the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination (WBJEE) on the basis of merit and eligibility. But if there are some vacant seats after the principal counseling rounds, the college can hold decentralized counseling for direct admission, but only for candidates who are domiciled in West Bengal with a valid WBJEE rank. All the requirements made by the regulatory bodies should be fulfilled in order to obtain such admissions. Direct admission is not provided under any circumstances without going through these procedures.  

Akemi Business School (ABS), Pune, is a private institution established in 2011. It is affiliated with Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU) and is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). The school is also accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC), reflecting its commitment to quality education.While ABS is a private institution, it is recognised by the Government of Maharashtra through the Directorate of Technical Education (DTE). This recognition allows students to access government scholarships and financial assistance programs.  

The private Adithya Institute of Technology (AIET) was founded in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, in 2008. It has an AICTE-approved rating of A+ and is affiliated with Anna University. Through its nine departments, AIET provides undergraduate and graduate engineering courses such as BE and B.Tech. It offers industry-aligned education and scholarships and is run by a commercial company rather than the government. Modern classrooms, labs and a library are all part of the institute's infrastructure, which supports its emphasis on technical education and placements.

Government College of Engineering and Ceramic Technology offers Engineering courses at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels.UG:At the UG level, the institute offers only BTech courses. Admission to the courses is based on the scores obtained in either the WBJEE or the JEE Main exam. To be eligible for any course, the candidate has to score a minimum of 45 % in class 12th in a relevant stream from any recognized board.PG:At the PG level, the institute offers only MTech courses. Admission to the courses is based on the scores obtained in either the GATE or the WBUT PGET exam. To be eligible for any course, the candidate has to score a minimum of 45 % in graduation in a relevant stream from any recognized university.

Aditya College of Engineering is a private university situated in Surampalem, Andhra Pradesh. It was founded in 2004 under the name Sarojini Educational Society and is associated with Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University in Kakinada. It has received approval from the AICTE. The college offers undergraduate and graduate engineering and technology degrees and runs independently. Although it is not government-funded, it is a component of the Aditya Academy, a private educational organisation that Sri Nallamilli Seshareddy created in 1984 with the goal of providing high-quality instruction in a variety of subjects.

The Government College of Engineering and Ceramic Technology boasts a robust alumni base with graduates who are well-settled in their respective careers and dispersed across the world. Specific names of excellent alumni, though, are not well known. The college points out that its alumni have emerged as vibrant exponents in the field of ceramic research, application, and production and have made meaningful contributions both within India and outside. Some of the distinguished recent alumni are Souvik Karmakar, Sajdul Haque, Tanisha Sarkar, Bratati Ghosh, and Arkadeep Das, who have made a mark in Ceramic Technology, Information Technology, and Computer Science & Engineering.
