Moreover, the annual fee per course varies in the range of INR 1 Lacs to INR 2.5 Lacs for government college admission and for private institution INR 1.5 Lacs to INR 3.5 Lacs per year is charged. Generally, to get admission to the B.E. Or B.Tech programs in Haryana Engineering College the candidate must have passed the higher secondary examination (12th standard) with mathematics, physics and chemistry / biotechnology / computer Science as the separate subjects. Specific test scores in these subjects are normally expected; these are usually between 45% for general quota students and 40% for students in the reserved quotas. Further, all candidates have to clear certain entrance examinations like JEE Main or certain state level entrance tests with CAT rank list to fulfill required cutoff marks of the college . These are the parameters by which admission is normally offered and any other condition as may be laid down by the Haryana government and/or relevant institution.

These include the application form they filled and submitted, either online or on a physical form, and two newest passport sized photographs. Photocopy of X & XII standard mark-sheet and certificate is mandatory for the purpose of confirming their academic qualification. Applicants also need to produce the JEE Main scorecard or any other entrance examination conducted by any University. For the identification purpose, having an Aadhaar card or any other government ID at least is compulsory. In some programs, based on the cast or category the individual belongs to the caste or category certificates may be necessary in order to avail the benefits provided by the reservation policy. Prospective students may need to visit the college's website or its admission requirements to seek for any updates or other document that may be needed.

The students are able to join technical clubs to extend their involvement in technical areas such as; robotics, programming and electronics. Cultural clubs practices culture, arts, music, dancing, and drams, which give the students an opportunity to exhibit their skills on the various talents. Furthermore, the currentities in sports such as Cricket, Football, athletics among others enhance on body physical fitness as well as reinforcement of team work. It also organizes various competitions, Technical Festivals, Cultural Fests, etc., and workshops for practical exposure and contacts. Clubs in the area of social service and entrepreneurship help students prepare to give back to society and gain leadership experience to complement classroom education.

Haryana Engineering College often regarded as the best engineering institution in Haryana has given birth to some of its fine students who have played major roles in the respective fields. Among them, a significant number has done well in technology and IT specialised firms where they will be heading some of the big firms or even being middlemen in the startup environment. Some alumni have also pursued academic careers and have served in engineering education and research; others have taken up governmental and public service careers. All these are evident as the college focuses on innovation and applied competence for the community that the college has been producing to shape society. Of course, the names may be different, but the achievements of graduates speak to the fact that the institution prepares dedicated professionals.

The faculty at Haryana Engineering College is, as such, considered good and collaborative. Many students appreciated help and cooperation from the teachers. Generally, the faculty was viewed as highly qualified and very motivated toward student success. An average experience of most of its faculty members is 7-8 years, thus adding an element of stability in learning.Instructor Methods: Students state that teaching methods are the balance between lectures and practice; however, some complain for more practical sessions. With respect to the general teaching quality, it's viewed satisfactory. However, not every opinion on the faculty that manages the complete engagement of the student or in-depth study and beyond the preparation towards examination is satisfactory. But basically, faculty plays a prime part in shaping the educational activities in the college campus.

Haryana Engineering College was established in the year 1998. It is one of the well-known schools in Haryana offering B.E./B.Tech programs in various disciplines, such as Computer Science, Mechanical, Civil, and Electrical Engineering. For entry, students are required to have JEE Main scores and have undergone the Haryana State Technical Education Society (HSTES) counseling process. In addition, they also require a minimum percentage in relevant subjects. It has a busy placement cell to help students get jobs. This ensures good placement records. The entire course cost is around INR 2,10,000 to INR 2,20,000. Therefore, it is not that costly. Also, HEC offers scholarships to students according to their school performance.

Most of the students feel that the quality of food served in the hostel mess of Haryana Engineering College is up to the mark. Many reviews state that the food provided in the mess is satisfactory because of the availability of a variety of foodstuffs for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. It is observed that the mess is hygienic and nutritious food is prepared.Still, there have sometimes been infrequent occasions on which individual taste varied in consistency from the taste others provided, which probably is always opportunity for improvement by way of fine dining. Mostly, despite the divided opinion, opinion is overall well-balanced: most hold that food is good, and they think the effort that the college has shown in order to meet their needs is wonderful.

The placement cell is quite involved in the industrial experience of the students for technology, engineering and management posts. The remuneration and benefits of an average employee are about INR 3 to 6 Lacs per annum, while the high package may go up to more than INR 10 lakhs per annum.
