Hemagangotri Post-Graduate Center has below criteria for taking admissions to it's various courses:

| M.A. | Candidates must have passed with mentioned marks in the cognate subject at the Bachelors degree and 40% marks in the aggregate of all subjects from any recognised university. |
| M.Sc. | Candidate must have completed Graduation with 40% marks in the aggregate of all subjects and mentioned marks in Botany (cognate subject) at the degree level are eligible. |
| M.Com | Candidate must have B.Com/B.B.M or equivalent with mentioned marks in the aggregate in commerce subjects from any recognised university. |
