The core subjects include Architectural Design, Building Technology and Materials, Theory of Structures, Building Sciences, Architectural Drawing and Graphics, etc. The core subjects are often covered between the first and the eighth semesters. Students can pick their elective subjects.

The Ganga Institute of Architecture and Town Planning (GIA) offers a scholarship to the top 25 students in the merit list of the annual Ganga Talent Search Test. 

The fee for the Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch.) programme at Ganga Institute of Architecture and Town Planning is INR 3,90,000 for the five-year course. The annual fee for the programme is INR 78,000

Ganga Institute of Architecture and Town Planning (GIA) accepts the following entrance exam scores for admission to the B.Arch program: National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA), JEE Main, and HSTES.

Eligibility Criteria for M.Arch at Ganga Institute of Architecture and Town Planning: B.Arch with a minimum aggregate score of 50 percent, completed from a recognised institution approved by COA.

Ganga Institute of Architecture and Town Planning B.Arch fees is 70,000 INR (Yearly). Ganga Institute of Architecture and Town Planning B.Arch admission is offered on the basis of the merit of the qualifying exam.

The qualifying cutoff marks for M.Arch at Ganga Institute of Architecture and Town Planning are: 

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture (B.Arch) with a minimum aggregate score of 50% 
• For SC/ST candidates in Haryana, the minimum aggregate score is 47.50%
• B.Arch degree must be from a recognised institution
