Q: What is the process of getting colleges through NATA?

There is no common counselling for NATA qualified candidates. After the results are declared, the candidates will be able to individually apply to the institute of their preference. The details regarding the counselling process will be announced individually by the institutes. As per the schedule of their preferred institute, the candidates will have to apply for admission and submit their details. NATA scores will be considered for allotment of seats.

As per CoA, the Architecture colleges strictly accept candidates based on their NATA scores. Therefore, the candidates will be eligible to apply to their preferred Architecture institute, if they have secured the qualiying NATA score. Q: What minimum marks are required for NATA?

Candidates are required to secure the minimum qualifying marks of NATA to be eligible for the admission process. The total mark of NATA 2026 is 200. However, the candidates will have to score a minimum of 70 marks to be qualified for the admission process. It is to be noted that the qualifying marks are important only for qualifying for the examination and being eligible for B.Arch admissions. The criteria for admission into the B.Arch courses will differ as per the colleges and institutes that the candidates are applying at.

For admissions into the preferred BArch institutes, the candidates should meet the basic eligibility criteria. The candidates should have passed 10+2th standard qualifying examination with minimum required marks. Should be minimum 17 years old as of July 13 of the admission year. The candidates should have secured a valid NATA 2023 score i.e., minimum 70 marks out of 200.

Candidates will be required to verify their documents while applying for BArch admissions at various institutes through NATA scores. The list of documents to be verified may vary as per the instiute that the candidate has applied for, however, the basic documents that has to be prepared and may be required for verification are - NATA admit card and score card, 10th and 12th standard mark sheets and pass certificates, ID proof and passport photograph. If applicable, the candidates will also have to be present their category and domicile certificates.

Q: Which NATA score will be considered for B.Arch admission if I have appeared for all the sessions?

Candidates will be eligible to apply and attempt one or more sessions of NATA. In case a candidate appears for 2 tests, the best of the 2 scores shall be the valid score and in the case of more than 2 attempts, the valid score shall be the average of the best scores. All candidates will be required to mandatory qualify at least one session of NATA to be eligible for B.Arch admissions into the respective Architecture colleges and institutes. Candidates are advised to attempt as many sessions as they can to have a higher chance of securing good scores.

NATA 2026 counselling will not be held by the authorities of the Council of Architecture (CoA) as a common process. Eligibility for BArch Admissions through NATA 2026

Candidates with a valid NATA score will be eligible for admission into various institutes in India that offer BArch admissions. However, there are certain basic eligibility criteria that the candidates are expected to meet for admission into the BArch courses offered by the participating institutes.
