NATA 2026 counselling will not be conducted by the authorities of the Council of Architecture (CoA) as a common process. Qualified candidates will have to apply individually to the institutes of their preference for admissions based on their obtained NATA 2026 score.

Since there is no common NATA counselling process, the candidates will have to personally research and apply to the state-level and private institutes that they wish to get admission into. The counselling details of those institutes will be updated on the official websites. Candidates must keep checking the college websites to know about counselling details. 

Various state-level counselling processes will also accept NATA 2026 scores to select candidates for the offered BArch courses. Eligible candidates must register on the respective counselling portals, then participate in the choice filling. Eligibility for BArch Admissions through NATA 2026

Candidates who score above the NATA cutoff 2026 are eligible for BArch admissions. However, there are some basic criteria that candidates to apply for BArch courses.
  • Candidates must have passed Class 12.
  • The age of candidates must be minimum of 17 years old as of July 31 of admission year.
  • Candidates must have valid NATA 2026 score, a minimum of 70 marks out of 200.

Note - Every institute will have a different eligibility criterion for BArch admissions  NATA 2026. Candidates must go to official website of preferred institute and check eligibility criteria.

Q:   What is the basic eligibility criteria to be eligible for BArch admissions through NATA?
A: 

For admissions into the preferred BArch institutes, the candidates should meet the basic eligibility criteria. If the candidates do not meet the basic eligibiity criteria for BArch admissions based on NATA scores, then their chances of admission will be minimal. 

  • The candidates should have passed 10+2th standard qualifying examination with minimum required marks.
  • Should be minimum 17 years old as of July 13 of the admission year.
  • The candidates should have secured a valid NATA 2023 score i.e., minimum 70 marks out of 200.
Q:   What are the NATA 2026 counselling dates?
A: 

CoA will not release the NATA 2026 counselling dates. No common counselling process will be held for NATA qualified candidates. For admissions, the candidates will have to individually apply to their preferred institute. The individual counselling dates will be prepared and released by the participating institutes. Candidates will have to check the counselling dates and apply accordingly to their preferred institutes.

Documents required during NATA 2026 counselling

NATA counselling at the institutes will be based on NATA score. During counselling, candidates must submit original documents and photocopies of documents for verification. The list of documents required may differ for various institutes, but some of basic documents required for counselling are given below.

Q:   Which documents will be required for BArch admissions through NATA?
A: 

Candidates will be required to verify documents while applying for BArch admissions at various institutes through NATA scores. The list of documents to be verified may vary as per the institute that candidate has applied for; however, the basic documents that have to be prepared and may be required for verification are - NATA admit card and score card, 10th and 12th standard mark sheets and pass certificates, ID proof and passport photograph. If applicable, candidates will also have to present category and domicile certificates. 

Q:   Which NATA score will be considered for B.Arch admission if I have appeared for all the sessions?
A: 

Candidates will be eligible to apply and attempt one or more sessions of NATA. In case a candidate appears for 2 tests, the best of the 2 scores shall be the valid score and in the case of more than 2 attempts, the valid score shall be the average of the best scores. All candidates will be required to mandatory qualify at least one session of NATA to be eligible for B.Arch admissions into the respective Architecture colleges and institutes. Candidates are advised to attempt as many sessions as they can to have a higher chance of securing good scores.

As per CoA, the Architecture colleges strictly accept candidates based on their NATA scores. Therefore, the candidates will be eligible to apply to their preferred Architecture institute, if they have secured the qualiying NATA score.  Some of the institutes that accept NATA scores are:

Yes, students can get admission in SPA Delhi without NATA. Students with a score in the JEE Main Paper II are also eligible for BArch admissions. For other programmes, scores of exams, such as GATE, UCEED are also accepted.
