Review of Jabalpur Engineering College.
Placements: Placements in our course are average and not very consistent. In our batch, around 25-35 percent of students got placed through campus drives. Many students have to look for off-campus placements. Many students got placed with a package of 3.5 LPA. Companies like Reliance, TCS, L&T, and Hindustan Power continuously recruit students.
Infrastructure: The library and classrooms are decent in my department. Wi-Fi is not available in most areas. Labs are above average. In boys' hostel, seats are very limited, so not many students get in. The hostel is too affordable. For girls, there are good facilities.
Faculty: Some teachers are good enough, but some are not very helpful throughout. The course curriculum is old, so no new things are included. Semester exams are too easy. If we only solve PYQs, then it is enough to score more than 7.5 CGPA throughout. Passing marks for subjects are 22 out of 70.
Other: Scholarships are so good, like the Aspire Scholarship program, MMVY, OBC, etc. College is too affordable for everyone.

Everything is average here, to be honest.
Placements: To be honest, the placement scenario here is quite tight. I suggest students don't come with very high expectations. Around 60-70 percent of students get placed, but packages are generally low. The college does not provide many opportunities, but if we have strong potential and skills, we can still secure a high package on our own.
Infrastructure: JEC is the oldest engineering college in Madhya Pradesh. Mechanical Engineering is one of its oldest branches. So, we can expect the mechanical department to be in an old building with some machines that may not be functional. However, most of the labs are well-maintained. The library is in good condition, but we will mostly find only course-related books there.
Faculty: Faculty members are good and knowledgeable. We need to show interest, then only they will help and give us their time. Regarding exams, mid-semester exams are conducted twice every semester, and generally, the best of the two is considered for the end-semester marks. However, this may depend on the faculty members.

It's good for the students looking for any exam prep.
Placements: There are 90% placements from our branch. Good placements are done at TCS, Infosys, Deloitte, and many other companies. Placement companies differ in every branch. Not all the branches have the same companies. According to that, placements are good. After Corona, due to some issues, placements were low, but now they are again good.
Infrastructure: It is a very good government college. In this fee structure, it costs very low compared to other colleges, and the infrastructure is also fairly good, not extraordinary, but good for a government college. Some buildings are newly made, while some are very old.
Faculty: The faculty is not that good, but it's okay. Heads of departments are better than the normal faculty members, and some guest faculty members are better than the permanent faculty members. Exams are very strict, and checking is also very strict for my branch, Computer Science.

Good for financial constraints, but if you can afford, choose better private college.
Placements: The placement scenario isn't that good, as I have heard from my seniors. But if you are ready to work hard, then you can beat the other students and get a job. The on-campus companies offer around 8–9 LPA. Don't expect more than that from this college's placements. You will be placed for sure if you work on your coding skills from the start.
Infrastructure: Since this is, I guess, the second oldest college of India, built around 1947, the infrastructure of this college is not impressive. The Civil Department building is like a haunted Haveli. The AIDS and Mechatronics branch department buildings are great, as these branches are newly launched.
Faculty: The faculty is great and very supportive. They will guide you at each step of life, not only in college. But the curriculum is very old and not updated, which makes implementing that old syllabus in real life seem worthless. But the faculty is great.
Other: To be honest, opt for this college if you can't afford high college fees. If you can afford high fees and expenses, I would suggest you opt for other private colleges in Madhya Pradesh like LNCT and others, because those are better in terms of placement.

All you need to know about JEC.
Placements: I am an M.A. B.Tech student in the Industrial and Production branch at Jabalpur Engineering College. Every year, around 60–70% of students get placements. Packages offered range from 3–8 LPA, with an average of about 4–5 LPA. TCS, Wipro, and Infosys are the companies that hire the most. Internships are mostly self-arranged. Roles offered are mainly Junior/Trainee Engineer, and some go into software, depending on their interest.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is very old for most departments. They have a WLAN network, but it is very slow and not very good. Labs have a large variety of machines, but most of them are not in working condition. Classrooms are of a very old style, as mentioned earlier. The library is very huge, and 90% of the books required for the syllabus are available. Hostels are allotted every year to around 200 students. The mess is not very good, and the food quality is also not satisfactory. Sports activities are very limited, only conducted in a few events like Aavahan.
Faculty: Most faculty, around 50–60%, do not care about the students. They come, teach, and go. Only a few care. Faculty members are well qualified, and some faculty members have a good nature and provide excellent knowledge. Mostly, students have to prepare on their own for their exams. Only if students prepare honestly can they become industry-ready. One semester is of six months, and semester exams are conducted at the end of the semester, mostly in May–June and November–December. The exams are not very difficult, and mostly 60–70% of students pass without any backlogs.
Other: I am a 3rd-year B.Tech student in Industrial and Production Engineering, passing out in 2027. The best thing about the course is that it opens several doors in many areas for jobs. You can be in any government job, industry job, IT sector, and many more. The areas that could improve are more placements, internships, and choices for student placements. Events and fests are very limited, only 1–2 per year. Recently, we had Inertia and Aavahan. The campus crowd is good, and the campus is very huge, around 100–150 acres, including the hostel. Scholarships are available if you meet the criteria.

Best college in central India, if your budget is tight and you want to study well.
Placements: Placement is very good in the year 2025. All the branches have good placement except civil. CSE has 80 percent placement, and mechanical has 70 percent, and mechatronic has 85% percent rate in civil. 13 students are placed, 8 get placed in KPIL, and 4 are in rooms.
Infrastructure: Hostel is good at cheap price. It provides very good facilities for only 1300 rupees per year. Mess fee is Rs 2500 per month. Hostel is good, and especially girls hostel is very good. It provides very nice facility at a very cheap price that no one else provides.
Faculty: Faculty members are nice. They help each time but some of them are very rude. They don't give you a number for how much you write in exam but most of them are nice. They try to help you in every situation and every moment of your B.Tech journey. They guide you and help you in your placement journey.
Other: Total fees of college are only 1 lakh for 4 year and for SC, ST its free. They provide you placements, internships, and all other facilities. Even for SC and ST students, they provide you with stationery and even they give a scholarship, and if your rank is below 1.5 lakhs in JEE then also general category student fees are free.
