Underrated university for M.Sc. Mathematics and data science.

Placements: The placement facility is good. But it is quite competitive for our department since a lot of B.Tech. students get placed first. One can contact the placement cell for assistance. The average annual salary for a college principal ranges between 10 and 15 lacs. And very renowned companies approached the university.

Infrastructure: The classrooms are air conditioned and a free Wi-Fi ID password is provided to every student. Separate labs are provided for separate departments. Our department has a lab where we can practice coding with MATLAB, R, C++, and Python.

Faculty: The faculty is quite helpful and the student-to-faculty ratio is amazing. Because the maximum number of students is 20 and the faculty is a lot more,. Faculty members are highly qualified, friendly and helpful. It is a two-year course consisting of 4th semester examinations, including projects and quizzes in each semester. The curriculum is amazing since it is a combination of pure mathematics, applied mathematics and data science related to mathematics.

Other: In the state, it is the only university that provides mathematics along with data science, so one has two options for their further career perspective: a doctorate or job opportunities. The curriculum is not at all hectic and faculty members are always there for help. A student at KIIT University will enjoy a lot of festivities, and very renowned celebrities and famous personalities are invited. There are limitless opportunities for co-curricular activities and one can highly give time and pursue their interest in those too.

Outstanding faculty and facilities, but need to work on the improvement of student services.

Placements: 30% students are placed in the previous year, as there are only 20 students. The highest package is 12.5 LPA and the lowest is 8 LPA. Top roles offered are Lecturer/Assistant Professor, Research Scientist, Data Analyst, Business Analyst, Software Developer, Cryptographer, and many more.

Infrastructure: Our college has air conditioned rooms with projectors, smartboards, and high speed internet throughout the campus. The latest technologies, equipment, and dedicated labs for Computer Science, Physics, Chemistry, and other specialized subjects. Libraries are air conditioned, well seated, triple storey with enough books, journals, and books. Separate hostel for boys and girls with Wi-Fi and 24/7 security. Dining options consist of many delicious cuisines.

Faculty: Teachers are all Ph.D. holders with interdisciplinary knowledge, have industry experience, and are very friendly. The course curriculum is of advanced core courses and thesis work. Students, therefore, gain deep knowledge in their respective fields. Difficult in examination is easy to moderate. The pass percentage is always above 95%.

Other: M.Sc. in mathematics with Data Science has diverse opportunities in research, academia, Data Science, finance, and technology. Increased focus on real world applications of mathematical concepts. KIIT FEST, a major cultural and technical festival, comprises various events and competitions. Students come from various parts of India and abroad. High speed internet connection throughout the campus and good connectivity to the city with frequent public transport. Campus surroundings are eco friendly with ample greenery. Easy access to shops, cafes, and recreational facilities. Merit based scholarship and special scholarships for sports and other extracurricular activities. Various clubs for arts, sports, technology, and more.
