Established in 1937, LD Arts College is a private college that is managed by Ahmedabad Education Society that has total 20 institutes under its ambit. LD Arts College Courses

LD Arts College offers three courses, including BA, MA and PhD. The duration of the BA programme is three years and that of the MA programme is two years. The first two years of BA has an interdisciplinary approach, wherein the students have to study a wide range of foundation courses, including Gujarati, Indian Epic Tradition and Environmental Science. Also, students need to compulsorily study soft skill courses, namely History of Ahmedabad, Leadership Development and Value Oriented Education. In the third year, the students can choose electives from English or Statistics.

Similarly, in the MA programme, students have to study the foundation and soft skill courses, irrespective of the chosen specialisation. The second year of the programme offers an in-depth study of subjects in the core discipline. Both BA and MA programmes are taught in English & Gujarati medium. Faculty of LD Arts College is very best.

Placements: This college is best for arts students, and placement recruiters like HDFC Bank and other companies hire students with better resumes and good progress in their mark sheets. In some departments, the hire ratio is very high, while in others, it is very low.

Infrastructure: In this college, the canteen is very clean and provides quality food. The college offers wifi for all the Indian students, and the classrooms are very clean and airy. The library is a peaceful area, allowing you to focus on your studies, and cultural activities are really appreciated.

Faculty: Our college's teaching quality is the best. Many faculty members have completed their Ph.D. in their respective subjects. Our fees are very adjustable, and the college is excellent for studying and participating in cultural activities. Many students engage in various activities.

Really a wonderful college and you learn many things there .

Placements: There were many students who were willing to have jobs and my college was giving us the opportunity called placement and then they were giving us the jobs but they were not providing us with a good salary; they were providing us with an average salary that ranged from 10,000 to 20,000 per year.

Infrastructure: The location of the college was very nice and we had the best professor for a particular subject and all were the doctors of that particular subject. In my college, there was a library that had many books and in my college, there was a facility for Wi-Fi for those who wanted to study online .

Faculty: The professors were very knowledgeable people, and they were all qualified for the subject and their methods of teaching were just mind-blowing. When they taught, I always understood the context of the topic. The first two exams were very different and difficult for me because it was hard for me to understand in English because I was not a student of English.

Other: Our college was very nice but I love it because I found my best friend, who always helped me with everything in our college. There were many events that happened in our college; they were life-remembering moments for me.

Faculty members and infrastructure are good but curriculum is outdated .

Placements: There is no such campus interview and placement programmes as LD arts is only for subjects of humanities. But you can surely have a job of visiting professor at college once you complete your Masters in arts. I know many professors who have done Masters from our college and got easily job of professor.

Infrastructure: Classrooms of ld arts are pretty good but there is not open Wi-Fi for students, it is only for professors and college staff. And there's no hostel facilities available in our college particularly but there's moderate facility of hostel in Gujarat University hostel or samras hostel. In ld arts you'll get good facilities of sports. There is ncc and nss programmes for students.

Faculty: Professors are knowledgeable and friendly, their way of teaching is too good. Curriculum is outdated so it's quite unable to make students industry ready. But by hardwork of their own they can do it very easily. Internal exams are very easy and passing marks are 11 out of 30 .

Other: This course is suitable for those who want to give competitive exams such as gpsc, UPSC etc. Other than who wants to make career in teaching and sports they can choose this college. I would wish there were more events as it is arts college but there aelre very few events like university youth festival.

The infrastructure of our college is really good. But the placement is not so satisfied.

Placements: In our college, around 80-85% student get placement every year in department, after B.A. the salary is about 20,000 to 25,000. Monthly but if you completed your master degree in our college at the salary is about 30,000 to 35,000 monthly. But all students can not get placement. Most of the students can start their internship in master degree.

Infrastructure: There are many courses available in our college. There are big classrooms and library. All the department have their own library. All library contain all needed books. Every year sport events arranged and by our college. The canteen and food facility are awesome.

Faculty: The faculty members of our college of every department are good. All teachers are very helpful and well qualified and knowledgeable and their teaching techniques are very unique. Teachers not only teach you about syllabus but about practical knowledge also.

L.D. Arts College is the best.

Placements: In LD college, mostly, we got 70% of marks or above in a subject. Every student is clever here, and students maintain discipline. In the last semester, top companies like HDFC, ICICI and many more visit here. About 80% of the students got internships from B.A in HDFC, LIC, Kotak Mahindra Bank and many more companies. Top roles offered are mostly commerce and arts-related.

Infrastructure: The canteen and medical facilities are awesome here. The sports management is awesome, and I recently played kho kho at a state level. It is easy to play games, and they provide a coach. University-level programmes are conducted. Canteen facilities are very special in our college because you can celebrate birthdays there. Many tasty food items are provided to students.

Faculty: Our college has 40 years of experienced teachers, and they are helpful every time in any exam. College exams and university exams are difficult, but teachers solve all problems and are very helpful many times in taking any decisions. They help students how to pass exams. The pass percentage is 70% in university, and it is a record in our college.

Other: I chose this college because the campus is huge and has many facilities. I travel easily to college by bus. There are brilliant students, and campus facilities are the best. Seniors are very helpful. In our college, scholarships are available for SC, ST and OBC students. Cultural activities are conducted all the time, and students achieve a gold medal in sports and a certificate from the university.

Satisfied with facilities and teaching but dissatisfied with hygiene, no smart class and auditorium.

Placements: Around 60-65% of the students got placed in our course. None of the students got an internship, and I am not in contact with any of our seniors. Roles offered are journalism, content writing and teaching.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is good enough. Labs and canteen are good, and medical facilities and sports and games are also available here. We don't have smart classes, and we don't have Wi-Fi in our college. Hygiene is not maintained in the washrooms, and there are very fewer books in our library.

Faculty: Teachers are qualified enough, and they teach us well. They motivate and help us. Presentations are conducted in every semester, and from that, there are other activities in which students can take part so that it makes students industry-ready.

Other: I think there are very limited subjects offered in our college. While art students out of India get chances in dance, music, photography and many other subjects as a major, but we don't get a lot of subjects to choose from. It is very limited.
