Notable clubs among these include Robotics Club to develop robotics skills along with the SAE - Society of Automotive Engineers with automobile projects for the student. EES is an association meant for electrical engineering enthusiasts. On the other hand, Kalakriti gives patronage to fine arts to grow artistic talents. There is Mirage, the photography club; Fractal, promoting programming and software development; Parmarth, concentrating on social service; Excelsior, for developing writing skills and public speaking; Insaniax, the dance club; and Auroras, who give importance to western music. It depends on the course in which the student is interested. Lucknow Institute of Technology offers BTech, MBA, MTech, and After 10th Diploma courses. Admission to the BTech, and MBA courses at the college is done based on the scores obtained in the JEE Main and the CUET PG exams respectively. Applications for the CUET PG exam generally opens in the month of March and are currently closed. Applications for the JEE Main exam generally opens in the months of Novemeber and February and are currently open. Admission to the MTech courses at the college is done based on the scores obtained in the GATE exam. Applications for the exam generally opens in the month of August and are currently closed. Admission to the After 10th Diploma courses at the college is done based on the scores obtained in the GATE exam. Applications for the exam generally opens in the month of August and are currently closed.

The quality of mess at LIT according to students is said to be good. Hygienic, nutritious, and wholesome food at the mess is served in four meals i.e breakfast, lunch, evening snacks, and dinner at Lucknow Institute of Technology. In turn, various tastes could often compare it to what comes at home. As a whole, LIT's hostel mess is trying to meet the dietary needs of students while keeping hygiene and quality in the focus.

It was founded in 2008 and is affiliated with Dr. A.P.J Abdul Kalam Technical University and AICTE. LIT offers a variety of undergraduate and postgraduate courses such as B.Tech, M.Tech, and MBA. A placement record of the institute can be considered commendable because almost 70-75% of the students were able to get jobs in big companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro at average salary packages between INR 3 LPA to INR 6 LPA. In addition, infrastructural facilities provided to the students include well-equipped labs and libraries with reasonable hostel facilities.

To get an admission into the B.E./B.Tech offered by Lucknow Institute of Technology, candidates must be eligible by completing Class 12th with Physics, Mathematics and one optional subject with a minimum of 45% marks (40% for SC/ST) from any recognised board of India. Admission is strictly merit-based by entrance exam, which are JEE Main or UPSEE. One can get the online application form at the LIT website, and the form is followed by the application fee payment. After results are announced, a merit list will be published and qualified candidates will participate in counseling for the selection of their favorite course. Finally, the admission will be completed after payment of necessary fees.

The selection criteria for B.E./B.Tech in Lucknow Institute of Technology (LIT) include a number of key elements. Candidates should have completed Class 12th or 10+2 exam with Physics, Mathematics and any one of the subjects- Chemistry or Technical/Vocational subject with aggregate percentage of at least 45% marks for candidates from General Category and at least 40% for candidates from reserved categories. Admission is mainly done on the basis of UPSEE or JEE Main scores, and a merit list is prepared on that basis. Those who qualify for the cut-off will be eligible to join the counseling process for seat allotment. For lateral entry into the second year, the candidates should have passed a three-year Diploma in engineering or B.Sc. A degree with Mathematics as a subject, with at least 45% marks. LIT, in general, considers both academic performance and entrance exam results to ensure a fair and transparent selection process for its B.E./B.Tech programs.
