Manipal Institute of Technology releases the cutoff for MET every year for admission to the BTech programme. The cutoff varies for each specialisation. The authorities will prepare the MET cutoff after checking various exam and admission-related factors. Some of the factors that will be used to determine the cutoff are the exam difficulty level, previous years' cutoff trends, total number of applicants, total number of seats available for admission.

At the MET exam centre, the students will have to bring one valid identity proof. They are allowed to bring any one of the following – Aadhaa Card/Voter ID/Passport/PAN Card/School ID, etc. No photocopies of the identity proof will be allowed.
